Auto Civics arnt that slow....

Auto Civics arnt that slow....
So I was going down to my friend's house today and and I ended up next to a dump truck at a red light. This is a 2 lane road and I'm in the left lane and the dump truck is in the right lane. I can hear the turbo whistling from the truck's engine so I had to show him what my N/A auto Civic can do Vs a American V8..... bot a regular V8, this thing was turbo charged.
Before you guys make fun of me, I read the race stories on these boards everyday and I know that our Civics can pull on any car because we are lighter.
Anyway, so I'm sitting there waiting for the green light and I look over to check out the dump truck a little more and you wont believe what I saw. Now this dude is rollin on 22 inch rims. Thats right... 22s, and you should of seen the lip on those babies. I never seen rims like these before. And to add to that.... he had 2 wheels in the back. I tell ya, this cat is ballin fo sho. I thought I might be in trouble because now I'm up against a 4 wheel drive monster.
So being a little jelous of his nasty 22s, I turn back and wait for the light to turn green and then all of the sudden I see the dump truck roll back a little and then back up..... so wasting no time I put my car in nuetral and roll back almost hitting the car behind me.... then put it back into drive and roll back up.
Waiting for the green light I hear the dump truck rev it up a little bit and the turbo spooling made my car jerk.... my only hope was my weight advantage.
The light turns green and I smash the gas..... all I heard was my tires squeel and I heard a massive PSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSH from the dump truck's blow off valve..... but it didnt matter, I was within 5 car lenths in front by the time he started moving.
So all you guys who make fun of auto Civics being slow...... know this: Auto Civic > turbo charged V8

why? i read an article for tips on launching auto. put in neutral, left foot on brake, and rev so it the TB is more open? ill post the link if i can find it. once you do that, the brake pedal is feel softer

Rep Power: 296 btw, most of those larger dump trucks are turbo flat sixes, not V8's (my buddy is a diesel tech)...Good kill, you can claim to have killed a truck with >500Lb/ft of Tq.!!

Rep Power: 302 I totally agree with everyone else that auto Civics are slow, but seriously, it isn't that slow compare to other 4cylinder 15k cars. I'm sure you guys won't believe me but I've beaten 03Si(my friend's car, but I told him not to LAUNCH tho lol) newayz
