Rackin up kills for the ol' AUTO! First off, if you didnt read my first post ont he eclipse..read it, then read this.
Ok....
So i went for a spin today. It was a great day, windows down, lots of nice cars out. This was about 8 pm, or so. Ok well 45 min ago i spose. I come across a purple ECLIPSE. This is NOT a 5 spd, its one of those autosticks..the auto with the shifter deal. Its an A/T in any case. So i just glide past him and he revs his engine
. i was like NOT AGAIN. But we took off. THIS TIME, when i floored it, i was pulling on him. As i went into 3rd...i kept pulling, and soon i put on the brakes and we came to a light. We started talking, he didnt know much english and had no idea what kind of car i was driving, but i said it was an '02 and he had an '01. Thats the extent of his knowledge apparently. He also didnt know he had FF..he was like 'my rear tires couldnt get traction'...i kinda smirked. So we turn onto the next road, and he starts in front this time. We take off.....immediatley i'm upto his rear quarter panel..then i coast right past him. This wasnt the end of it either. At the next light i decided to follow him just to give it one more run becuz i knew it was a great straight away. We took off. I was on his *** the whole time but i couldnt get around him cuz of cars in the right lane. I hit the brakes and turned cuz we came upto one of those camera lights, and i saw the camera go off when he went through, so i know hes gettin a speeding ticket. (YES we can get camera speeding tickets in ohio, any other states got this?). I was excited and wanted to post on here, but as i was going home a acura legend with fart can came up next to me and revved their engine. I was like 
easy kill. We didnt mess around much, we just both made our way to the front of a line an dmade a red light. He said 'hey man lets go'. i said alright. he had a 5 speed also. Light turns green, and i actually beat someone decisivly enough to pull in front of them so i could get in the turn lane.
2 kills for me this weekend, and one loss. I'm satisfied. Its more races i've had this weekend then in a long while. I also came across a RSX with nice graphics and exhaust. It was some german kid, i was able to keep up with him, (he was an A/T) and we talked. But we really didnt race much because he had to turn. That was earlier in the day and that didnt really do much for me. But hey...ONCE AGAIN, i had some fun and actually can put a W in the win column for my AUTO VIC! Lets here it auto boys.

Calling BS on the Legend kill. Those cars have ***** with an auto tranny and I imagine the manual tranny puts down even more power. I think the Legends have 230 HP..... give or take its putting down around 170 to the wheels where your car is putting down around 100 hp to the wheels...
I have an auto Civic and I know how slow the car is.... my friend has a Legend and it wouldnt even be worth racing.

Rep Power: 0 i have no reason to BS u on the legend or anything. It weighs over 3,000 pounds. It was OLD....rust spots. had 2 people in it. yes it was a 5 speed. no it didnt look like was was taken care of very well, and its 160 hp.(1990 = 160 hp, and this thing looked even older) I just looked it up. I KNOW i beat that thing. Of course i've posted loses, i just did...it was that other eclipse if you read my other thread. But why post losses? i dont post every race i have, especially if i just get raped. thats no fun. winning is fun.

Rep Power: 0 lol....but i DID beat the legend. i dont really know how else to say i beat hte legend...other then...i did. From a stop, at a light....took off....and by 60 i was far enough ahead to get infront of him and get in the turn lane....and he flew by, honked and waved. why is it so impossible to beat a old, beat up legend with a shiny coffee can muffler?

seriously, I've seen the one you're talking about and it doesn't look like they would be fast. Maybe if it was newer yea he would've won.

A newer Legend would definitely win. The older Legends are dogs, especially when not taken care of as it seems in this case. Don't forget that a poor driver can cause a faster car to lose a race. For example, the current owner of my old Jetta, which still has all the mods in it, would get raped by my auto Civic only because he doesn't know how to drive that car.
To put that in perspective, I ran a best of 17.098 in my Civic and used to run consistent 15.9's in the Jetta.
