because, REACTION TIME STARTS when the last amber light is lit, and ENDS when you actually first move the car. if you react to the last amber light, you will launch your car as the light turns green to go. again this is .500 seconds. .400 for the pro tree.
regardless, you are still negating the fact that your speedo is off a couple mph (at 80mph you are probably really only going 77-78mph).
