Rep Power: 0 Ricer Focus vs. Dad's Explorer Sport (V6)
Well, I was driving down Alicia parkway, which is three wide lanes and has a 50 mph speed limit [no one follows that, though] in my dad's V6 Explorer. Behind me at a light was a red Focus SE sedan, with the bra on the front bumper. As I start to pick up after the green light, this guy starts tailing me like I'm going too slowly or something . Oh, well, I thought, I am in an SUV, not letting it get to me. But then, I see his hotrice altezza tails and driving tendencies:
The guy was a typical ricer with an automatic, weaving in and out of lanes, tailing cars for a few seconds to let them know that his almighty Focus is zooming down their way. Knowing the power of my dad's Explorer, I decided to give this fellow a good lesson in rice-rocketing. I make my way bulkily around the cars and catch a shining red light right next to him. He starts rolling up, and so do I, thinking "I'm gonna enjoy this ." The guy then proceeds to roll up to almost the middle of the intersection, AT A RED LIGHT!!
Anyways, light turns green, and I just gun it. I heard his four-door powerhouse hit ZETEC but it was no match for the titanic explorer's V6. I smiled as I passed him before hitting even the third automatic gear. At the realization of his car's lack of power, he proceeded to slow down and make sure to not pass me. We finally met again at another red light, but he was too embarassed to roll up and rice around the way he did earlier .
Also on my trip, I saw a Suburban with an Escalade conversion, fully badged as a Caddy and masquerading as if it were the real deal. The headlights, however, were still GMC .
