I thought Id chime in since im bored

I was at a light with two lanes. The right lane is actually for the people turning right as it merges with the left lane like 75-100 ft after the light. My wife and I are in the car and just past where the right lane disappears, I have to make a right turn. I was in the left lane going straight in my Element. Mind you, my Element is 4wd with 161/lbft of torque which is nice but the Element is pretty heavy too. Anyways, on the right side I see a red Audi 1.8t with two kids wearing their hats sideways. Im figuring highschool kids. I thought nothing of it until I realized that he wasnt turning right, he was going to gun it and cut me off! Thats my biggest pet peeve (sp?). The light turns green and he gets into it a little figuring that I wasnt going to put up a fit but when he heard my tires schreech just a tab before all 4 gripped, he hammered it. Naturally, I was pounding the throttle on the element. He did pull on me but not by much which surprised me (I knew I didnt have a chance). What was funny was his face when he realized he wasnt pulling on me fast enough and he saw that hich curb coming up quick. I let off and let him over but I had a good laugh. Then I told my wife how mad that makes me when people do that, but she reminded me that I do the same thing *ALL* the time! Anyways, I thought it was funny

the A4s are not that fast especially if it was an auto. It should have been a close race with a Element. I drive one at work alot I am always afraid of flipping it. LOL

Yeah... they're nothing too special, unless you start chipping and playing with mods..

Stock, a friend of mine ran 15.8. That's with the 170 HP version of the 1.8T offered in the eariler A4's. That's a 5-speed as well. So, with a heavily-draining automatic, that's a mid 16's car.

With a couple toys, he now runs around 14.8, but remember that just a chip on the 5 valves/cylinder -turbo motor pumps out 210 whp/220 wtq.
