in response to the S2k vs SRT4 video
you can believe what you like to believe. my cousin has a 350z and i have an 01 s2000 so i think i have an idea how it goes. it really depends on how you shift that 1-2 if you want to talk about "pre-60". correct me if im wrong but i have read some where that the newer s2k's are a bit faster than the old ones.
what id like to see, is a video of an s2000 pulling on a z. all ive been seeing are vids of z's spanking s's.
i love my s2000 and i love s2000s, id love to think they are "dead-even" on top end. have you raced some? if you stay dead even with more than 2 z's then congrats. but most people if they can't stay with the z, they get pulled on. still, please find me some vids of z's getting left behind. because so far i haven't seen any. oh btw the time my cuz's Z pulled hard on my S was when he had a CAI. i had a CAI and HKS exhaust at the time.

So if you pull on Lt1's in the top end, how come the 350z will pull on you if the trap speeds are basically identical??
The S2000 traps 101-102

Me and one of my friends ran 12 times in one night once at the track, both of us only getting about a 13.9 at best that night. EVERY race went something like this. Launch, he's got a slight lead. I pull to 60mph. Then he holds me off, and from about 80mph up he starts reeling me in. We are once again even one barely beating the other several times over the night. We both got between 13.9-14.1 all night.

and if you have a passenger and the 350Z doesn't, then yeah i'd expect it is going to pull on you.
maybe so. i would say disadvantages were on my side both times. that would be easier to accept exept that i see people getting pulled on most of the time on s2ki.
doesn't matter. it's not all about straightline. i grew out of that a long time ago.

i would definitely say that the cars are extremely even, however, there is a SLIGHT advantage to the 350Z.
I have only lost twice in my races with 350Z's, and both times were by about a fender. (not counting losses that night i ran my friend because i'd say we went roughly half and half of our 12 runs)
