in response to the S2k vs SRT4 video
You guys remember the SRT4 video where the guy raced an S2000 like twice from a roll and pulled on him? Well I said the guy in the S2k couldn't drive, was hitting the rev limiter, and even short shifted a couple times.
So here's some more videos. Enjoy.
SRT4 at 17psi with intake vs S2000 with intake and exhaust
srt4 with intake vs S2000 with intake/exhaust

Ok.
So what are you trying to say... the vid of the srt4 beating the s2k was because of a bad driver, and that these vids show equal drivers going from a roll so the s2k won? Why can't it be the s2k just got out peformed or driven? I ask how a 350z stays @ the door of a SC s2000 and w/ out you asking info or if there is a vid, you claim bad driver on the s2k part. Thou, when people ask question about how an s2k beat (insert car), you go out attacking peoples points and views.
Anybody else notice in the 2nd video, the 2nd run... the s2k had almost a car length on the srt4 when they went on beep?

And how many god damn times do you have to keep bringing up your 350Z vs SC'd S2000 race? It amazes me how someone in the face of irrefutable evidence can still try to argue about that? Like i said for the last time, a stock S2k and stock 350Z are DEAD EVEN in 1/4 mile performance. If an SC S2000 got left behind by a stock 350Z, then the S2k driver short shifted to hell and can't drive, regardless of how many videos you want to post of the race.
go ahead and search for stock 1/4 mile times on both s2ki.com and my350z.com. And while you're at it, go ahead and see what a properly drive SC'd S2k runs. On 6psi, that would be about a 13.1.
And attacking people's points and views? what points and views? If a slower car beats a faster car, it's because the person in the faster car couldn't drive. How is that attacking someone's points and views?
And what am I trying to say? The point I'm making is just cuz one damn video shows up on the net of an SRT4 beating an S2k, suddenly everyone thinks the SRT4 is faster, when that simply isn't the case. Which I'm proving with these videos here. That is my point. In all honesty a 1/4 mile race between the 2 is very close with the S2000 being a bit faster, particularly on the top end.

S2000 Top end speed, holy crap, it pulled on the SRT-4 like it was no ones business. Its weird when a 1/4 mile runs out how some cars handle it.

^^^ i agree, but if you watch the video a few times, you can tell the audio sucks. that car is so insanely loud... you can see the valves through his ITBs. it doesnt sound "cool" or "pimp" - its simply scary.
I think any srt-4 who loses to an s2000 is a bad driver, my friend at the track consistently runs 13.7's sometimes 13.6's with his stock srt-4 all day long last summer.
BTW anyone got a link to that video above? Ive never seen it. Thanks

S2000 is among the loudest engines stock. 95 decibles at 9000rpm WOT. even louder than the modena 355 and 360

I don't know WTF are you guys smoking on, but a stock VQ35 engine w/ stock exhaust sounds like s*it. I'm sorry to say this, but it does. I guess it all comes down to personal preference but I just hate that high pitched exhaust note.
my friend lost to an srt4, he drives a bone stock s2k. he wasn't an experienced driver and since the neon is a quick car, he lost not just by a nose or a fender. i drive an s2k as well and my cousin has a 350z. first race from 1st gear around 30ish was even until 3rd when i pulled on him. he didn't have the car long, he has a celica gts so it was difficult to get used to the nissan clutch feel and the VCD. well after that little third gear pull, i had a fender or so on him. the Z pulled back quite quickly that he thought i let off already. my top was down so that made a difference.
second time i had a passenger. started around 6KRPM. he pulled and pulled. no chance for me to get him back. so bottom line is that the s2000 has to work really hard to keep up, but if anybody's pulling, it's the z.
i haven't raced any srt4s when i was stock, now my s2k is supercharged (vortech w/ aftercooler) but i rarely see stock srt4's so anything can happen

Go from a low speed roll, say 25mph, the advantage goes to the S2k. Go from a higher speed roll, say 70mph, the advantage goes to the 350Z.
The Z traps just a bit higher in the 1/4 mile, so yes around that range the Z should barely be pulling, but anything beyond that stays fairly even.
The cars are about as dead even as you can get really.
