do you guys think that a good shifter(myself) off a roll could beat a stock dodge dakota(stick) with 210 hp and 235 torque?some guy has been poppin s*&% and im annoyed so i wanna race him and shut him up, but i wouldnt hesitate if i didnt want to wager, i figured since hes so heavy and i can high rev i wuold beat what do you think?
is it the 3.7, 3.9, 4.7 or the 5.2. The 4.7 is the fastest of the 4 motors but makes 240 hp. I think you would have a chance against either the 3.7 and especially the 3.9, but the 4.7 with the 5speed is a high 14 to low 15 sec truck. While the 5.2 is a mid 15 and the 3.7 is a low to mid 16 and the 3.9 is like a 17 second ish 1/4. Hope this helps your cause.... i left my motor outta the mix because it doesnt come in an available manual but is equivalent with the 4.7 stock b/c of the auto.
/\/\/\ yeah from what i hear its a 2004 and he bought it for 17,000 so i looked on edmunds and that looked to be the base model 3.7 but actually all of the motors on that site say 3.7 so thats very informing, so based off your knowledge are any of those others worth around 17,000 or is it more than likely the 3.7, thanks in advance
its only a $785 dealer option for the 4.7 v-8 over the 3.7 v-6..... one last thing is it regular cab or club cab or quad i gave you club cab numbers for the regular subtract .2 seconds for the quad add .2 seconds 4x4 add like .1 -.2 seconds since that doesnt seem to matter much

So I doubt it, unless, he farks up his launch and you score a perfect one.

If you can drive you have a chance, stock ex's have run low 16's. Just make sure you hook up and hopefully he'll spin due to the lack of weight in the rear of the bed.

what are your mods?? and if you say you are a great "shifter", I really begin to doubt you. I have taken my friends numerous times he has the v6, I get him by alot. I raced another guy that had the v8 and lost, but did not hit second clean (it still is not that slow of a truck). If it is the RT just bend over and kiss you *** goodby either that or challenge him to a road race on a VERY curvy road
