lie or not a lie good kill. Even keeping up with a stang is something that would bring a mustang owner into tears. I've raced a v6 auto convertible stang and beat him by a car.

my friend has a gt 4.6l 5sp convertable and runs 14.1 after dyno tuning, cobra r rear rims (18 x 10.5 i believe) and cuttin off mufflers! anything is possible when people dont know what they are doin

Fact of the matter is that 99+ V6 Mustangs with a manual transmission, are capable of low 15s/high 14s when stock.
E.g. if you beat one in a near stock civic, he either couldnt drive, or he had an automatic slush box.

If you take the time to read and look carefully, I was talking about the mustang only has 190 hp. You said it had 200.

Rep Power: 0 well I went to the track last sat and ran a 16.2@85 with a crappy 2.415 60 ft and actually bogged. i'm sure with a proffesional driver behind the wheel my car could run a 15.7-15.9 More practice and I'll break 15's. Couple tenths slower then the 15.5 on the stang, which was obtained by a pro. If it was an auto then I got that beat, if it was a 5spd then she couldn't drive. It's been so long I can't even remember how it went down anymore, so lets just lock this crap.
I will be running a 6thgen SI within the next week, since I already beat an 04(which could never happen either right?). This guy beat the 04 by the same margin I did, so it should be close. Let you know how goes then you all can flame and hate some more.

Rep Power: 284 I agree with pretty much every recent post. The Auto's and Auto Vert's are within reasonable driver's race distance of a stock Manual civic. I would say that the Manual V6 would win, though, unless the Civic driver was great AND the Stang made a big mistake. BTW, that 15.5 is from "the Web," and not any car magazine that I know of. The only 2 magazine numbers that I know of for the MANUAL V6 are:
Car and Driver:
2000 Manual V6 Coupe: 15.1@90-91 (This is also on car-stats, I believe)
Muscle Mustangs and Fast Fords:
