Going back from class, I was taking my time driving. Behind me is a blue 03+ Corolla auto. So I make a right turn, shift into 2nd, then 3rd by the time I was going 20MPH. I guess the girl in the Corolla thought I was going too slow so she attempts to pass me on the right side(It was a 1 lane road, but enough space for 2 cars). So I hear here slush box downshift to most likely 1st gear (too bad I didnt think it was 1st at the time). I down shift to 2nd and floor it.... By that time she was going faster than I was already... but not for long. I was able to match her speed, but the bad thing was, I was pulling at all even though I was at peak power area.

I know I suck at street racing (I dont normally race anyone).... should have downshifted to 1st so I wuold have been in the powerband.... but oh well.

I do seem to race against a lot of females......

i never shift into first when rolling, i did one time, and it just feels like ur messing something up, cuz you gotta kinda force it into first, it dosen't go in easily, felt like grinding gears or whatever.

Yea 2nd is the lowest I would drop it to. If you have ever tried, take 2nd gear up to 4000rpm or w/e and then attempt to put the car into first. It seems as though there is a lock or something to prevent you from doing this. You dont have to worry about slamming into 3rd gear when racing, because you know it wont let you go into 1st if you mis-shift.
