thanks, yea before i put my pullies on i felt i was faster as soon as i installed them i drove around wit the chip off and it was good then i put the chip on and it was bogging out, they say that the pullies drain the battery quicker so im gunna try and get the optima battery and see how that works cause the chip is connected to the positive and negative of the battery.

Question

What do ya'll think a 02 Ex coupe (5-speed) with i/h/e and 55 shot of nitrous would run at the track, and the driver's skills being pretty decent and not spraying in 1st?? Low 15's, maybe even grace 14.9??

You could dip in the 14's if you had some good tires.

Sweet, i'm about to intall megan racing 4-1 headers, and megan racing high flow cat. That working with my Injen RD CAI, Tanabe Super racing medallion, and my planned edelbrock wet nitrous system, i do hope to see these numbers. What tires would you suggest?? Size needed 215/45/17

I believe you, but believe it or not, the 15's that were on the car when i bought it (bought used) are heavier than my 17's!!!! Those 15's weren't stock though. Wish i had the stock hubs!!! Haha, wrap the hubs in some high performance sticky tires, sure i'd get a few more 10ths of a sec on those, but i'll get a better 60ft with the 17x7's

You forget about rotational inertia... as in the farther a weight is from the center of rotation the harder it is to get that weight to accelerate.

so, even though your 17s are lighter then the stock 15s, more then likely the 17 still have a Higer rotational inertia = slower acceleration.

Stock 15" steel wheels weigh about 19LBS...

For a 17" to have the same rotational inertia of the stock 15s they need to weigh about 15 LBS....

Compair that to my 15s that weigh 11.8lbs... a 17" would have to weigh about 9 LBS....
