Went to Test N Tune last night BIG suprise

Went out to No Problem Raceway in Belle Rose,LA. it was a really really humid night, very hot. there were more street cars than i thought so it was fun gettin to race alot of them. among those were 3 rsx-s's another black 7thgen, 350z, srt4 etc etc. i have never seen the rsx run in person and my god, these had to be the worst drivers ever. None of them were able to get lower than a 16.2. The last race of the night for me was against one and he ended up running a 17.7

I still cant believe how crappy their times were. anyways my best was 16.3. heres the numbers from the slip..

r/t .057
60 2.339
330 6.726
1/8 10.431
mph 66.01
1000 13.658
1/4 16.382
mph 82.66

mod list:
'02 lx 5 speed

headers
generic muffler
15" eagle alloy rims
not sure what kinda tires

i'm shootin for 15.9-16 flat still gotta get used to the new rims. jsut thought i would let you guys know about my night.

hate to burst your bubble... but 16.3 sounds amazing considering your trap speed.

My 86 300zx N/A trapped at 87mph and best was 16.2. With a trap speed of 82 I would expect mid 17's... IMHO

fix your launch and you'll have a chance to hit 15.9 also if you have a header and exhaust why no intake? that doesnt make much sense. lol

Well he might be going with what other people are doing and not changing the intake so he doesn't lose power in one end.

Yes, the Test-N-Tune nights are loaded with people. My best time is in my sig. I havent been out there in a while. Too damn busy with summer school. Good times, understanding the conditions.

My best launches came when launching at 3k-4k rpms.

Should say what brand tires on the sidewall.

i didnt know what kinda tires i had cuz i never looked at em and was too lazy to go outside and look but i decided to go look. They are Federal Super Steel (185/55/15)
i didnt buy these, they were my friends rims and we decided to trade.

as far as launching, 5500-6k rpms was the area i was in. also decreased pressure in the tires. how could i improve my launch? i dont have an intake because i havent bought one yet. didnt think it was worth the money for little gain that i might see.

^^ so you're saying 16.3 isnt possible at 82 mph?

i also ran
16.557 @ 82.06
16.858 @ 80.21
17.032 @ 79.55

my worst reaction time was .476 best was .012 but i missed second hard and ran a 17.7
