Hey wats up..i have a 2001 civic ex..its bone stock for right now..a friend of mine has a stock '90 integra and he thinks he can take me? what do you guys think?
i think i would smoke him.....

from what I've heard the older integra are more powerful than the late 90's models. Duno if that's true. I actually rode witha friend in his '90 integra ls, and it really pulls in 2nd. I don't think you'd smoke him.
But I'd be happy if someone can prove me wrong, since I'm a civic ex owner myself.

well then u dont know how to drive cuz i havent ever lost to a ls and i have run dead even at the track with two diff gsr's that have i/e me i have i/h/e at the time i have more now and love to smoke gsr cuz they will be like what u wana race me umm ok are u sure lol and then i smoke thems good luck.....

no if u read it right it says i raced two at the track that had i/e and i had i/h/e and i ran dead even with them....i said with the stuff that i have now on my car stuff that i have added since then i smoke them

yeah buddy, kinda hard to believe you run head to head with a gsr. cause the ex stock is est 127hp at the flywheel. the gsr stock at the flywheel is est 170hp. ex stock runs 1/4mile in mid to hi 15's where the gsr is mid to high 14's. oh wutever dude. im not here to debate. all i know is my little bros 90 integra gs runs faster than mine.

a stock gsr will hit a 15.2 on average and i raced a stock gsr and we were dead evan through the whole race except that i got him on take off so i won. but if we would have taken of at the same time it would have been a tie. and i have i/h/e/p. the integra type r is the one that gets mid 14's.

How do we match up against Tiburons and Celica GT's. I know we are faster than the older GTS models. I heard tiburon is not so fast.

i think he did and yes he does know what kind of engine they have B18c 1.8l vtec good for about 158 hp to the wheels is the average number i see. and there bodys weight about 2,800 lbs and they have about 115 tq to the wheels. and as for the new tibs V6 i raced one with i/h/e and i got raped pretty bad.

jesus can tell some of you guys are new. 7th gen civics are slow as @ss why do you think so many members on this site trade them as soon as possible?
I have mine being traded up for a new scion tc trd supercharged. Blue I might add. I love them look like mini skylines.
As for civics the EX is slow
The LX wont beat an 80's blazer
and the HX I wont even go there.
If your boosted however congrats, I use to want to go down that road until I learned I could trade in my vic spend and take that 3 grand was going to spend on a turbo for a nice TC. Than of course later supercharge it under warranty. Alll TRD parts are covered.
Im civic loyal but civics without serious mods are slow slow slow....
Your lucky if a GSR doesnt beat you by about 2 1/2 car lengths. IF the guy knows how to drive. I am also judging the 8th.
remember hp is worthless unless you have TQ

umm 14s with i/h/e/p is not bad and when i get the other stuff it will be 13s with a 75 shot then im going turbo and its not my only car im getting another one so its not that slow if u do it right

WhiteCastle why why HP worthless without Torque, It looks as though most for the Honda engines do not have a lot of torque. The old SI has less torque than the new EX and has 160 hp. Its actually suppose to be faster than then newer hatchback SI.

i am pretty torqless as well and the gsr was bone stock look at my 1/8 my 60' was like 2.6 and i still pulled a 10.4 i have a 2 1/2" down pipe to a catco cat. so my car pulls that is why could run with the gsr.

you think a 10.4 for a 1/8 will land you a 15.2 in the 1/4? You'll be lucky to even hit low 16s...No way you can run with a GSR. A LS maybe.

i lost to one. i have 03. magan racing exhaust thats about it and a dc short shift adapter. it was on the freeway tho. he pulled away with no problem. but from a dead stop i dont know...
