Rep Power: 0 93 Prelude VS 02 WRX
So this guy that owns a modified 93 Prelude with intake, exhaust, slammed suspension wanted to race my friend with a 02 WRX with 17 Prodrive? rims, and summer rubber.
So we went to the highway, I was in the WRX, and there were two other guys in the prelude, just to make it fair. We raced from 40 to 100, and obviously the WRX won, but only by half a car length!!! Isn't that amazing!!! Oh well, it gave me such an amazing rush, it was awesome.
Just thought I would humor you with a car story.

Rep Power: 0 must not have been a good driver in the WRX, + those cars have no top end. 0-60 they cruise, but after 100mph they're slow in comparison to other cars. Simple ECU tweeking will solve that though.

Rep Power: 0 it was probably the VTEC model of the prelude...the old gen's were slightly faster then the 97~01 editions....and its probably cuz the prelude a decent top end..and WRX seems to lack that a little...
and was the WRX auto?

Rep Power: 0 Both cars were stick. The Prelude had vtec, and they are both autocross drivers, the one with the Prelude is a SCCA rally/autocross driver. The one with the WRX is a really good driver none the less.

Rep Power: 0 the wrx will own a prelude from a dig.......but in order for the wrx to get better top end you to work on the ecu as stated before.
racing from a roll eliminates the huge advantage of awd that the wrx has over other cars

Rep Power: 315 yeah, the WRX should still have more WHP..... but not too much more.... I thought the Prelude would put down more (if not about the same) WHP than an RSX-S
