Hey does any one know what a stock eclipse V6 should run.....I stopped at a light and this asian guy pulled up in a brand new stick V6 eclipse and kept revving at me(actually sounded ok for stock)..So when the light went green we both took off and hed have like a car on me in first but Id pull him in by 3rd and I ended up having like a car and a half.....This happened 3 times....I'm guessing he just cant drive very well becuse toud think he should of been able to take me...I mean all I have is intake and exhaust......My question is any decent driver should of had me right????

I have raced them V6 eclipse they aint to fast i tell you what ont the freeway he will probaly own you but on drag you will own him, thats my Thought. I believe that car hit like mid 16 somewhere there. but correct me if im wrong.

I beat one in one of my first races ever lol. It was a 2000 GT A/T though. He had I/E. I had a horrible launch, but I ended up beating him by about 1/2 a car length. Now, I would probablly beat that guy with ease. But that was an A/T so I dunno.

Nooooo Those things are fast i dont know wht u guys be smoking i raced one in my spec-v and he held me off by half a car the whole race and im a pretty decent driver and i have friends wirth preludes wit h22a's witrh i/h/e and they get smoked by them im guessing the guy didnt know how to drive

all new eclipses are extremely slow... My friend also has an SE-R Spec V and his is stock....did I mention he completely destroys eclipses on the track!
I have driven both the 4 and new 6 cylinder eclipses! They are extremely sad. Heck the 4 is slower than our cars auto. feels like a hamster trying to pull its cage

Manual V6 Eclipses have either 200 or 210 (GT or GTS) hp and will run LOW 15's w/ Manual tranny.

it depends on what model it was. Not to mention those Eclipse's are HEAVY as all hell. Their Curb weight is Over 3300 Pounds!

And if you want that 210 Hp engine your looking at over $26K.

the GT runs the 1/4 in 15.4/15.5 depending on the driver.
Those Eclipses are over rated. IMO

My buddy has a GT auto with I/E on spray (75 shot). Sounds nice as hell but without the spray its got nothing. I've driven it so many times and it is o so slow. On the bottle, however, he can pull on stang gts.

coulda been an auto. cause once out athe hole he'd have to screw up pretty bad to lose to a civic. if it was an auto I could see it happening like you describe. but manual no. even a bad driver should hit better then 15.6 in the 1/4 the best drive rin a vic would be lucky to get a 15.7 I think. nice kill though. but IMO was an auto.

i raced my friend v6 gt (200hp/210 torque) i got off the line faster still the end on 2nd.....then he starts to pull beginning of 3rd and win everytime.

I got a friend with a 01 eclipse gt with CAI and custom exhaust. I can stay even through one but once we hit second he pulls me like a biatch. by the time i'm to 60 i couldn't read his license plate, but then again I didn't have my glasses.

Yeah i dont think it was a gt that you raced, even if it had gt badges. The 4 cyl would be a semi close race, I had an 02 sentra ser and i was even with one till mid 3rd then it pulled me and kept going... and i know the sentra is faster than a civic for sure.

We can keep up in first and second because we have some real short grearing for 1 and 2nd where the eclpise is kinda tall through 1 and 2, but our 3rd is too high adn they'll pull on a civic like that once the civic hits 3rd. The eclipse just has the torque to push the taller gears like that and we don't.

i know the new eclipses are slow cause i test drove one and my friend has one automatic with i/h/e and 75 shot and he runs 14's all day and occasionally low 15's i saw the times in person

What happened to Mitsubishi? I used to borrow my former roomates 1994 manual awd turbo Eclipse which was stock but FAST AS HELL. I never raced anyone out of respect for it not being my car but it seems way faster then my manual 02 ex with i/h/e.

Those 2nd Generation Eclipses were faster than the new 3rd generation ones. Especially the turbo models.
