Rep Power: 0 ATCO - 13.511 @ 103.73 - 8psi (boost leak from 10.5psi)
Like it says!!! I ran a 13.511 with CN Turbo, Catback, 195/60/14 Azenis sagged to 15psi on stock clutch and stock open differential. This is in a 2002 Civic Si EP3 w/ 42,000mi on it. (my daily beater)
I had 5 runs last night. first three were my typical 13.8-13.9. When the fourth run came up i made a decision to stop worrying about my tire life and tranny/clutch and go for broke. I heated the fawk outta the azenis till 3ft clouds of smoke billowed out and when the run started I DUMPED into 1st at 6000rpm and put the pedal to the floor and didn't let go till it was all over. That was this 13.5. The 5th run I tried to duplicate it but only ran a 13.601
Here's the full slip:
Temp: 78F
Re. Humidity: 79%
Absolute Baro: 29.36
R/T: .412
60': 2.013
330: 5.721
1/8: 8.728
MPH: 80.31
990: 11.263
1/4: 13.511
MPH: 103.73
Best part is - later that night I fixed my boost leak!!! So now I'm back to ~10.5 while this run was done at 7.5-8psi.
I NEED TO GO BACK TO THE TRACK!!!!!!

Rep Power: 0 Little warm at the track, but I thought a turbo SI would be faster then that. Still a hell of a lot faster than my car, so I cant say much. Good job!

Rep Power: 295 Falken Azenis work better cold, when they get hot, they get greasy & slippery. You probably would do better if they were cold.
But I really dont know anything about drag racing, I autocross, but I run Azenis so I know what happens when they get too hot. Im actually about to get a water sprayer to keep them cool between runs.
Oh yea, good run

I was told that by everyone too. I have no clue if there is something I'm missing that haelped me, but the prior runs I was doin 13.8 consistantly. Then I got angry i couldn't do better and smoked the livin FAWK outta the tires to 3ft high billows of smoke - pulled to the line and dumped it and kept the pedal on the floor. 1st gear actually grabbed!! There was only a chirp and no spinning thru the end of 2nd gear. Normally I spin 1st and 2nd and chirp third at the track. I was AMAZED when I got the slip. I got back in line and repeated my tactics - all of which I had done ALL NIGHT except the burnout which I had done only that run. So I did a smokey burnout again and ran a 13.601 with a 2.0 60ft. for my last run of the night I DIDN'T do a burnout, just cleaned the tires. I ran a 13.79 and spun the first two gears.
I dunno, maybe since azenis are softer compound their not good on concrete when hot but being hot and spongey on the all ready sticky track does help.
Unfortunately I VISIBLY wore the tires down bad and spent 2 hrs peeling rubber pieces off my fenderwells... I have to admit tho - I'm gonna do it again this friday with upped boost and see what I can do.
Screw it - Azenis are only $45/ea in the size I'm using.

Rep Power: 0 I get mine at the local speed shop. Not sure a regular auto parts store would carry it since it's specifically for racing.
Good stuff, you don't know you have it on until the rubber rinses right off...

Rep Power: 0 Here is an "In Car" view of me making a 13.517 1/4mi run.
I got the honor of whoopin' a Z28 Camero
Video is 9MB and is MPEG4 format. It will play in Quicktime 6 and Windows Media Player 9 but the extension is funky so you have to tell it to open it in one of those programs, you can't just double click it....
RIGHT CLICK AND SAVE AS
Here's the codec to watch it if you need it.
