Me vs. Mazda 6 & Riced Camaro

So i'm cruising around late at night listening to my new cd ("Songs About Jane" by Maroon 5 ) when this guy in a new Mazda 6 zooms buy me and puts on his hazards. Then his little buddy in an orange camaro with a Type R looking spoiler, cleared tailights, and a green tribal decal on the side of his door decides to do a fly-by on me also. So I'm like wtf?? So I get lined up at stop sign with the guy in the Mazda and his car starts jumping forward at the sign like his car has got all of this sh*t in it. So I came off the stop sign normally, but he was pacing me, so I stayed in first and waited till when he tried to pass and then I started to punch it.

After being followed for a couple more blocks, I come across a yellow light so I slow down, but the idiot in the 6 slams on his brakes and nearly skids into the middle of the intersection just to get lined up with me again Now my windows were rolled up, but it smelled like I was in a burnout contest lol. He starts to rev it up at me, so I give him a couple of blips. By this point I couldn't back down from this idiot and his friend tooling around in that riced out camaro. So I leave the RPMs at around 5,000 and get ready for the light. Light turns green and we go. We stay pretty even through 1st, then In 2nd I got him by half a car, we shut down at 80mph and I had him by about 3 1/2 cars.

I get lined up with again but both of them decide to make a right turn this time lol. They both burnout and speed off just to add affect I guess. My mods are Intake and Full Exhaust. The Mazda 6 looked stock other than T.V.s in the headrest and visors lol and the camaro looked to just have an exhaust system.

Hmm... those Mazda 6s arent too slow.... but yeah, ppl in those new 6s are kind of nasty and beginning to get ricey.... something like that happened to me 3 times on the highway. With twice a black 6 and a blue one. They cant leave ppl alone! >_<

There is no such thing as a V4 lol. Nah I bet that it was the 4 cylinder (Inline 4) since I beat him. What are the hp and tq numbers on the 4 and 6 cyl Mazda 6 anyways?

I've beaten a V6 Camaro with a flowmaster once before, but there is some guy at the drags with another V6 Camaro but M/T with MSD, Flowmaster Exhaust, Headers, and a K & N intake that gets about the same times as me, I'll ask if he wants to run maybe

what on earth, u beat a mazda 6???

my sister has a 4 banger mazda 6 auto and i drove that car around for a month while my car was in the shop. i don't drag race my civic only road(open track) racing, but i doubt u had him by 3.5 car lengths

from my impression of my ex civic and my sister's car, the mazda would have won by maybe a car length or even

the 4 bangers have 160 hp ane 154 lb-ft torque(i think)

i have a stock engine, not even intake or exhaust, all suspension stuff on my civic

Yeah, definitely the 4 cyclinder Automatic. Test drove that one before deciding on the V6, and it was like night and day. The 4 cyclinder had zero low end. I was thinking to myself, even my Auto Civic could take this car. So we decided on the V6.

I could hear the shifts so I guess it was a M/T, but yeah I would have definently gotten beat by the V6. The Mazda 6 is a sweet looking car also, I wouldn't mind having one.

This old a$$ ford truck was revving at me yesterday and I just laughed...first there were a car in front of him and me, and a red light was coming up...what was he thinking? Then at night an RSX revved at me, sad cause I was just heading home at 2am tired as hell.

Hmmm...the 4 banger Mazda 6 is definitely NOT a contender. If he had a manual and was a decent driver it should have been even. Mainly because the 6 is substantially heavier. The 6s, now that's a different ball game altogether. An MSP, well let's not get started on that

I think it's already been established that it was the 4 cyclinder he beat. Those things are slow and heavy..

The 4 cylinder Mazda6 with stick is a very capable race car. I say this because when i went
up to Button Willow Raceway, Mazdaspeed was out there testing their cars. The engineer told
me that they are using the 4 cylinder man. mazda6 for their world cup challenge car from now since they are discontinuing the protege. They are using the 6 not the 3 for their racing.

Yes the Protege is gone, but not really. The 323, Mazda's entry level compact car has been successful for years around the globe. The AWD turbo 323 GTX found it's way from late 80's early 90's WRC to the streets in the late 80's. The 323 was renamed the familia in the JDM market, and for USDM it was renamed the "Protege" in the early to mid 90's. In Japan, AWD lived on in the Sport 20...basically an AWD Protege5. Turbo returned to the Protege in the form of the Mazdaspeed Protege, which was pretty much Mazda's farewell to the Protege name. The Protege has now been remodeled and rebadged as the all new Mazda 3. The same can be said for the 6 being the successor to the Mazda 626.

Pretty off topic, but thought I'd just clear that up.
