I didnt even know they made a GTS eclipse so for other sheltered people like me heres the stats. lol

He still had dealer plates and looked young so I won't rag too much. lol Guess he thought the extra power would make up for the weight. lol This was a first for me cause I didn't even know they made a GTS eclipse.

1st run
from a stoplight I took him REALLY bad off the line. I didnt even bother hitting 3rd so I waited for him to catch up and I stayed at lift in 2nd.

2nd run
I started in 2nd gear and I even let him have a lil running start. lol (Instead of pacing for a second he was just gonna try to get the ricer flyby goin and hope I dont catch up.)
since I was already at lift I had no problem catchin him by the end of 2nd and pulled a car and a half by top of 3rd and I just slowed and paced him cause it wasnt worth any more gas. lol

next light he gets in the left turn lane and I give him the thumbs up and flips me off then revs. So I'm like WTF? I back up pull right next to him and rev up to 7100 and bang the limiter for a sec LOL. he decided not to look at me again. lol whts wrong with kids these days? lol

also using math I run 0-60 in 5.7 not 7 thats using an 1/8 mile conversion method. But we all know 0-60 #'s are always inaccurate. especially computed ones. lol

my sister has a 01 eclipse GT. i think they came out wiht the GTS in 03. everytime i drive her car i drive it like i stole it. its WAY faster than my civic, but then again what isnt faster? at first when i just got my license the eclipse was what i drove since my sis didnt take it with her to college. but then i got a civic. (long story) as far as quality goes im not to impressed there was a lot of things that went wrong with it but its quickness made up for it.

Oh yea i did kill a 7thgen wiht a k20 swap last summer at the streetraces on Patterson Ave here in Philly. that same night i raced a 03 civic SI and it beat me cus i underestimated him.

^^ so you beat a k20 7th gen but not an SI ? lol I hate to be the one to tell you but the eclipses are REALLY slow. theres no way in heck you beat a real k20 swapped 7th gen unless the person couldnt drive to save their life. I can lay waste to a GT eclipse and the k20 vics out here run better times than me at the track.

unless the vic had the k20 A3 swap and couldnt drive then it's believable. but I'm gonna have to call bs on your story.

deff not a BS story. i beat the 7thgen swap and not the SI because like i said i underestimated the SI. i shifted into second really early thinking the V6 torque will compensate for my Fvuk up.

it was a black 7th gen coupe razzi kit and konig 17's. he was from jersey and i tried to recruit him.

remeber when i talked to u about gettin some h7's for my cuz celica gt? he was the one riding wiht me when i beat the 7th gen and also when i lost to the SI. im pretty sure hes on the newcelica.org site.

the swapped 7th gen shoulda walked you AND the SI. maybe he had cams or something. I still dont think it was a real swap.

I also beat that guy badly several times. and that 7th gen with a k20 swap is faster than both of us.

well you figure the civic weighs a few hundred lbs less and has the same engine. kinda obvious it's faster. lol

kinda like the MRS vs celica GT - same 1zz engine but few hundred lbs lighter and MUCH faster. also the civic is a lil lighter then a GT-S.

I dont think the SI should beat the GT eclipse either.

i like the celica, but all the one's i've seen are extremely riced out, with the huge aluminum wing and tezza's and vinyls.......turned me off to them, and turned me one to wrx

I really like the wrx too. I ended up with the celica cause I'm kinda superstitious and everything at the time pointed to celica. Right time, right place, right$$$. lol had there been a wrx where I was at for a good price I woulda had a hard time choosing. but they wanted more then the wrx's were worth IMO. So I got the celica.
