For an auto, that's pretty good with the work that you've done on it. Very cool.

that previous time for my crx is almost par with my civic. there, i wasnt using slicks. in the civic, i used to run an 11 flat, and with the mods i did, i cut that by a FULL second. but in my crx, i finally figured out how to launch it and i run an 8.7@82 mph on the same slicks with a 2.1 sec 60 foot time

so with slicks you pulled a 2.4 60' and still managed a 10.0? you'd have to be about 145 whp to do that IMO. I'm finding that time a lil hard to believe. Mainly cause even with the mods you have the numbers just don't add up IMO. I also can't see how your 60' would be so bad with slicks on. before I new how to launch my car I'd get 2.4 60's and run 10.0 at 74 mph. I dunno just seems odd I guess. a video would help.

i ran a 10.4 with a .5 somthing reaction time if i would have gotten my average .2 then i would have ran a 10.2 on bad tires. and i belive that i would be in the 9's if i could conect. as is i spin all the way through first cause i hvave no traction i mean his auto has a better 60' then my MT and we have about the same amount of mods minus torqu converter and slicks so i caould see how that time is right.

What does your reaction time have to do with this? Not flaming, just confused by your post.

to have a normal r/t of .2 on a 0 light is ok but to have .5 is horrible. It wouldnt be to hard for many people to put a .4 head start on a time like that. Also I'm sure you know your R/T doesn't affect your ET.

I still don't believe those numbers. sorry.

I do believe high 2.2's are possible with an auto on slicks especially with the work he has done.

you see i am confused i have had people tell me that your reaction time does matter and some tell it does not the reason why i thought it did was because last time i was at the track a women that worked there told me it did and the lower the reaction time faster my 1/8 so i dont know. so please help me with this never the less i still think i can hit 10.2 if i could get a good take off

ok here's how R/T (reaction time) works.....

it measures how fast you react to the lights dropping. thats all.

1) it doesnt affect your ET
2) yes it can affect the outcome of a race.

ok best example I can give is this video of me along time ago beating an RSX - S. he got a faster ET but my R/T was better giving me the advantage.

www.ksbservices.com/july19/mevsrsx.rm
(real media file)

here's how it works...

lets say both me and you run 10.2. it would be a tie.
thats where R/t comes in handy.

me - R/T .500 10.2
you r/t 1.00 10.2

I would win by .500 cause I left faster off the light by that much.
it' basically only helps when you're trying to beat the other person.

you can have a 6yr r/t and still run 10.2

hope this helps you understand how it works.
