What a night!

I always have the worst encounters, so now you guys get to hear about it

Okay, the first encounter happened near school as I was cruising around. The speed zone is 25 due to the people walking all over and a two lane road. Now I make a turn and get up to 25mph when all of a sudden this car comes within inches of my bumper. Then he decides to cut around and pass me going at least double my speed. Now keep in mind that he's now driving with half his car on the oncoming lane and the other half on the median. He finally passes and cuts back in front at an intersection! This guy is crazy for sure, so I decided to give him a taste of his own driving. Well guess what--he gets stuck at the next light and I get right on his bumper. As soon as he goes, I floor it and stay right on him for a few seconds before dropping back to 25mph and turning on the brights. This guy really got going after that and nearly ran a red light trying to get away. I've never seen a sentra move so fast in my life. He must have really been scared after that.

So now he's gone, and I'm sitting at the light waiting for an arrow to turn left. I go, and another guy decides to inch out and finally go right from the cross street. I had to floor it again and drive halfway into an oncoming lane to miss this guy. I couldn't stop cause there was another car turning right behind me. He kept going as I honked at him, too. I can't figure out what is wrong with people!

Okay and before the flaming starts, my driving is good and I rarely go more than a few miles above the limit. I really felt the sentra was driving wrecklessly and hopefully I scared him enough so he doesn't do that again.

Haha funny stories.

Your in Illinois, so it might be different, but in CA the car making the right has right of way. At least thats what the book said last time I checked. And no one in CA seems to understand that so when a car tries to make a left before I make my right, I go for it anyway and scare the car. If I get hit, insurance money!!
No, I'm not a horrible driver. I don't do it if its gonna be a close call.

ferio: um ... I could be wrong, but that really does not seem right. GREEN has right of way, not the person making a right turn at a red light

Especially since I have a green arrow and he's got a red. I've been finding out that insurance is so high here cause of all the crazy drivers. Good thing I'm still a "nevada" driver.

If you had a GREEN ARROW, then you had right of way.

however if it was just a "general" green circle light, that means both sides had it, and he had right of way.

but if you had a green arrow to turn left, that means his light was red and he failed to yield.
