1. VVTL-i is like the new i-VTEC.
3. compression on a GTS is 11.5:1
ok looks like the little morons gonna get schooled.
now i was nice at first but you little trolls gonna try and call me out. Alright I'll play your little game.
I just saw your little challenge and heres some answers for you......

#1 - VTEC = variable lift/timing/duration system with two different profile cams for each valve which change the lift, duration, and timing. VTEC is NOT continuously variable, it is a staged system based on RPM.
VVTi = continuously adjustable intake cam shaft which allows for the timing to be adjusted according to RPM. Valve duration and lift is completely unaffected as the same cam lobes are used throughout
So yes they are similar in that aspect However GT-S is VVTL-I
I'm assuming you wanted to know if I knew about the 1zz GT engine as well.
#2 It's controlled in the ECU by RPMs
#4 shoulda been #3 so I'll answer that first.....
It's actuated by oil pressure which slips a pin under a freely moving rod which allows the high RPM cam profile to affect the rocker arm and valve behavior.
# 3 isnt even hard and only a noob would think so since you can see this answer anywhere. the GT-S has a compression of 11.5:1
Now I will agree street car running 12's is fast BUT since 14.4 compared to a civics 17+ yeah my times are fast enough.
Now next time why dont you children do some research on who your talkin to before you open your mouth. I dont care who you are or where your sorry butts came from. you come on here acting all E-thug. oh Im scared. if you are older and own a car shop which I doubt, why would you bother to talk so much stupid ish?
Now heres your award take it and go back to your mommy..................
