6th Gen vs. 7th Gen

Which are faster stock? And I mean evenly matched: 6th Gen Dx vs. 7th Gen Dx, 6th Gen Ex vs. 7th Gen Ex, and 6th Gen Si vs. 7th Gen Si, etc. Also, which engines respond better to mods??

I was told the 7th gen DX and EX were faster, but I have no way of knowing. Plus is it really close between the two

based on what i know, the 6th gen civics came with a 1.6L engine. with the 7th gen increased displacement to 1.7L, we get more torque at a lower rpm, but with same horsepower ratings. so it is REALLY close. but i think the 7th gen weighs like 50 pounds more than the 6th gen, but i also think the 7th gen is more aerodynamic...

Its a drivers race. The 6th gen gets a little more power out of mods, but the 7th gen is more aerodynamic and can create more torque in the lower rpms.

I would rather have higher torque numbers than horsepower. Why does the 6th gen get more power out of mods?

Its just the way the 6th gen engine was setup. Honda didnt mean to do it, it just happened that way.

Well because those D16 blocks where built very closely to the B-series in some cases u can use the exact same bolt ons... On top of that they dont have plastic on thier motor like us *cough* intake manifold

well........auto vs auto.......

7th gen pulls away slowly but surely .....my bros ex had 6gen and used to race all the time.

for some reason, the 6 gen feels faster due to shorter gearing but when u race....the 7th gen wins .
