i have a friend that built up his mustang 5.0 and he runs 11's....and he has bolt ons...no nitrous .. no turbo . supercharger....and he only spent like 6000

One of my friends has a T67 powered 2001 Mustang GT its hella fast, another one has a Shelby GT 350 replica with a 351 which is pretty fast.

He built up the motor? Does he plan on running n2o or supercharge it? Thats how all older cars work, you can put a little money into them and see a big result. We, however, have to put truckloads of money into the car to see a huge result.

Just curious (this question goes out to everyone)...What is your definition of rice (as far as cars are concerned)? That seems to be the most widely abused car-related term used nowadays. I wouldn't be suprised if i start getting called rice pretty soon too.

5.0 liter built engine running 11s is nothing compare to a 1.6 liter built running 11s, 10,s and now 9s....blind ppl must do alot better in styling too then....hahaha give me a break and go to mustangs.com and post that ****!

anyway, looks are in the eye of the beholder. that 5.0 running 11s can be a street legal car, while the 1.6 drag car sits in a trailer. i will say that my 5.0 exhaust note was FAR better than any fart cannon on and 4 cylinder car. And the stang was stock.

In my opinion rice is not about a car, but about the driver. I could see a civic with the body kit, yellow paint job, stickers wing, neons etc etc but if the driver knows its slow then i wouldn't consider his car rice.

However all these kids that get in they're moms stock accord and think its the fastest thing on 4 wheels as long as they don't granny shift the automatic, now thats what i consider a ricer. The majority of the ricers have stock or slightly modified cars. Although i have my opinion about every car i see don't call ever fixed up civic a ricer.

11 seconds is 11 seconds no matter how you look at it. While i'd give more props to the 11 second 4 cylinder since it took more work for him to get this far. But then you gotta give the 11 second V8 props for 1) spending much less money and 2) remaining street legal. V8 have and will always be cheaper to make faster. Give me an LS1 and $4000 and watch me run 11's and still use it to drive to work. But take a civic and the mods needed to run 11's are endless and, like WRX said it will most likely be sitting on a trailer.
