Yeah..so this kid Alex here in the Chicago area that has an 11.60 sec GLHS helped me with the
timing belt...he also advised me on how to re-rout my boost controller lines....we went out
cruising, with 4 months of dirt on the car, 3 people in the car, and the neons 185/65/14"
steelies..hehe..the car looked like ****...
got into 3 little races..well 4....a Civic LX with bolt ons..didnt even have to downshift to waste
him..he knew though..he pulled up and said "turbo?" with a big smile..I nodded...hehe
A stock GSX from a 40 roll...pulled on him pretty easily...
a modded GST spyder...ran about even from 0-50 (1st and 2nd gears due to traffic)
and an 01 Mustang GT...2nd/3rd gear roll...ran dead even with him..suprisingly..looked to be
about a 300lb older guy driving it..had NITTO stickers on the windows..WITHOUT Nitto
tires..hehe..it was a 5 speed...
all in all pretty happy..not an 11 sec GLHS, but after the intercooler/bost controller gets sorted
out, it'll be a bit quicker...the only advice he gave me (alex) for easy mods are
+20% injectors
remount intercooler
fix boost controller routing
turbo II garret turbo
Anyway..it's fun to be driving it a little ..ahh..how I missed boost...
