Well I was just coming home from a trip out to the workplace and I hit traffic. This girl in a green stealth is like power tripping and she starts going 35mph (IN A FOCING 55MPH ZONE! I shoulda called her *** into the po-po). She was constantly breaking and yelling into her mirror and staring at me with this "I'm so going to kill you after I race you" kind of look. I finally get pissed off at her and WHAM! On a 40mph rated turn I fly past her at 65mph in the other lane. She follows me, floors it (I'm already flooring it), and I don't see her in my rear view mirror anymore.
She was the BIGGEST bish evar...

Depends if its the twin turbo one......Dodge Stealths and Mitsubishi 3000 GTs are basically the same car. Both came in Tubo and non turbo modles. the down side of both these cars is weight. They were damn heavy! The 1999 3000 GT weighed any where from 3131lbs to 3737lbs with 161 to 320 HP respectivly. the Stealth...(1996) weighed any where from 3053lbs with 164 hp to 3671lbs with 320hp, so it can be said that if it was any thing other then a TT or RT model then it is SLOW. even the RT weighed 3153lbs and only had 222 hp.
Thats a lot of weight to be pushing around.

Compare it to any car from its class (supra, rx7, skyline, 300zx), and you'll see it doesn't exactly pull like no other.

Well..compared to my civic it pulls. I've ridden in a 600+ HP supra before and DAMN!!!! The owner of it took turn at 60mph and NO roll whatsoever. He peels out from a standstill...

Dont confuse body roll or the lack there of, as the signature of a well or poorly handling car. Reducing body roll is a biproduct of tuning the suspension, and yes you do want to minimize it, but it is not the primary concern when tuning your suspension. adjusting the Roll Couple is (Ratio of roll resistance at the front Vs the rear of the car).
I Don't mean to sound like an ***, but the point is that you can have a car that has 0 body roll and still handle like crap.
It sounds like your friend has a decent set up and is probably a good driver too, and a good driver is better then a good suspension set up any day.

320hp (3,400lbs) supra TT
300hp (3,400lbs) 300zx TT
240hp (2,800lbs) rx-7
320hp (3,700lbs) 3kgt TT
it will run a mid-high 13 just like any of the other cars stock. its not that big of dog plus it will rip any of them outta the whole.

Sure the car was/is still fast. But that thing is just too heavy. But then again, some heavy cars are still able to corner well from the factory.... Ex: GT-R
My friend just bought a Twin Turbo Stealth and let me tell you, that bitch is fast!!!!!
The guy who owned it before him took out the radio and air conditioning and **** too for weight reduction. Its crazy though.

I would never take out my radio for weight reduction. That's just me, but cmon, how much can you save? Maybe if I was a a hardcore racer...

Thanks man, I look forward to it.
the typical thought associated with these cars is Heavy! yes, they are a bit heavy, but theyve also got a lot of power and enormous potential, 12's are easy to get into with basic bolt ons, they 94+ models are a bit better since theyve got a stronger transfer case and forged crank....the pre 94 models are still very good cars though. on the downside though...maintenence can be a pain...with all that power..more stuff tends to break....the trannies tend to need repair in the high mileage cars..i think its the synchros that give the trouble...not positive though

just the VR-4
Weight affects handling and Acceleration in different ways.
You can overcome weight for acceleration by adding Horsepower.
with handling, the way you counter weight is by putting on a wider tire, and production cars can only fit so wide of a tire.
This is the big issue with the Audi TT. The audi TT weighs about as much as a corvette, and you can pretty easily make a TT accelerate as fast if not faster then a corvette. But because of chassis limitations you cant fit as wide of a tire on a TT as you can on a corvette, so You can make a TT out acclerate a Corvette by you cant make one out handle a corvette with out triming off weight.
So it come down to, what interests you more; acceleration, or cornering. Personally I like the corners more.
