Rep Power: 0 me vs SRT4 *beatdown*
So im on 2 lane highway cruisin along and i see a red SRT4 up ahead cruisin along slowly too. Id never seen one run, so i was curious as to how fast they really were. I got up next to him and paced him for a little bit just checkin it out, and as luck would have it, we hit a red light. I had my windows down, and i motioned for him to roll down his. I leaned over and asked told him, ive never seen one run, and if he wanted to have a little go. Its perfectly straight for at least a mile, and there were no cars in front, so he said sure. I leaned back over and told him i was gonna get pounded, but I was just curious of the speed difference.
So we both start to "stage" if you will. I took it up to 5500, and i could hear him working his revs up too. Light goes green and i feathered out the clutch and got a decent launch, with minimal wheelspin. He however, didnt fare so will. I could hear him spinning his tires like CRAZY, which let me get a solid 3/4 car on him by the top of 1st. The whole time listening to him spin his wheels, i was thinking to myself, "as soon as his wheels hook, its all over." Sure enough, they caught, and he got even with me a little bit after i got into 2nd. We were parallel as he got to the top of his 1st and as soon as he hit 2nd, he put 2 cars on me by the time he got to the top of that gear. I kept going just for the hell of it, and shut it down about 85ish. By then i couldnt make out his plates.... he EASILY put 8-10 cars on me, by the time i got to 85. He slowed down too, but i didnt get a chance to pull up next to him, as i had to get on the next exit. I gave him a thumbs up (dont know if he saw it) and we both went off on our own.
Ugly or not, after seeing what they can do, i would love to own one.

Rep Power: 0 I havent seen one on the road or track yet. There is a show/race at a track this weekend. Hopefully one will be there and I can see it run. Sorry for the lose, but someone needs to be the test subject. Great story. I like the silver, but red's ok.

Rep Power: 0 Reasons I did not buy an SRT-4. I am a fairly shallow person to a certain extent, and I will admit its a cool design and can appreciate it from an automotive perspective. But it would be way cooler to have a Celica GTS or a RSX-S. Most of the time I am not racing my car... so a majority of the time Id look like the dumb kid in his moms neon. The only people who I would get attention from are other teenage guys. Defently not my targetted audiance. My Civic turns more heads than that thing. Well, probably not.. im sure everyone turns their head away from the neon in disgust.
