damn srt4 drivers! there is this guy in town with a 2004 srt4 and he's gotta be the cockiest guy in a car next to camero/trans am/mustang owners. I mean this guy didn't even have 45 miles on the odemeter and he was racing it 
. what makes me mad is his car is fast from the factory and the guy doesnt know **** about cars. He constantly lies about the tuning he is gonna do to his engine and claims no one can beat him. Lately it seems that every srt4 owner i come across wants to just rev up theyre engines at me with the crappy sounding exhaust that i believe for the hp its pulling the sound puts it to shame 
, and most srt4's are preppy kids 
and their srt4's are all stock and i just hate people that think they are tuners cause they get a tuner tuned car from the box and wouldnt know the first thing to do their car they probably dont even know how to change their own oil!

I got owned by a srt but I knew he would so I screwed with him anyway, it was fun, from light to light. In the end he was cool wee tooted horns he knew I was messin with him, but yea stock there kinda fast but I seen a thread a little while back were some kid in here asked if he did a k20a2 swap and turboed it would it beat the srt, Hands down the k20a2 turboed would smoke that hunk of monkey turd!
As a matter of fact i am a teen and ****ing other teens are dicks they have their srts or cobalts and they think they are bad ***. No challenge to go buy a fast car and smoke people. The only cool guy i know with a srt 4 is a 40 year old man and he races us but is not cocky at all

There are 4 SRT-4's around here, 3 of which are dumbass highschool kids. 1 guy lives by me and has the Mopar Stage 2 kit, hes a cool guy that respects other cars.
majority of neon owners are like that.
from roaming the boards and whatnot, it seems like the only cool srt4 owners are the ones who know their **** (which is rare) as some who buy it just want a fast car and pay others to install boltons

yeah, my supervisor from work has one, hes like 30 something, he went from lude to 5th gen civic to 99 330ci to the srt, he wants an s2k ultimately though. he has some stage 1 (i think) stuff, its pretty fast, but hes not cocky about it.

Rep Power: 812 someone at the last car show was bragging about how he blew the motor in a week and the dealer is rebuilding the engine for free under warranty. I guess its a big accomplishment.

Rep Power: 0 My uncle has a Camaaro SS (300HP or so). We were horsing around on the highway. We passed by an SRT-4 and he jumped in to play. It quickly became more of a SRT/Camaro situation with my RSX-S as kind of a spectator. As they were pulling upwards of 140mph, I was chasing them at around 130mph just watching them. The SRT-4 is fast and I would need quite a bit more work to hang with it...

That's a ricer comment. Look at the price. If you turbocharge a d17 and get it to run at 18psi, the price would be way higher then the srt-4. The srt-4 is an out of the box turbocharged bargain if you are into the straight line.
I could always say a turbocharged geo metro can beat the srt-4, doesn't mean either is better then the other.

Rep Power: 812 i would give it props, but really it doesn't deserve it. A few races and its back to the dealer getting the motor rebuilt. I know people who have them and it may as well be a neon with a turbo slapped on it. Dodge had no business making a turbo car. Heck they can't even make na cars that last. Another case is the evo, but that's a whole other thread. I'll give the props to the acura type-s, civic si, and others like them that won't fall apart when you throw a few mods at em. If you want a fast car you don't goto the dodge dealer and say "I'm a cocky teen and my parents are buying a car for me. They don't know its fast either but I like it and my parents can afford it."

Rep Power: 0 Im not mad..Im just wondering why props isnt giving where props is deserved....If the new Civic Si was fast in straight line but dint have good handling you wouldnt be ******* it...You would probably just say.."Oh thats nothing simple upgrades can take of that" Or just beat around the bush... I hope your not going to buy a car for its handling over engine..but yeah.. Why does everyone have to look at the negative aspects of the car than the positive aspects of the car... I personally dont like it but dont hate it...It doesnt bother me. I just respect it for what it is...A fast car.

Rep Power: 0 tons of srt-4s around here. 3 in my car club that run 12's. Fastest one runs 12.4@119(no traction). They are fast and can be made even faster with minimal $$. Not my cup of tea though. Can't wait to take a crack at a stock or lightly modded one here soon.

Rep Power: 0 ...i took it out for a test drive, the srt-4, and it was a fun/nice little car to drive. However, i would rather be driving 2 hours back and forth from college in my 02 ex with confidence in the vehicles ability to get me from point a to point b with out breaking down. The srt-4 is like a crotch rocket marketed toward younger spoiled kids who don't know any better cause they had it made all their life, with some exceptions as stated above. Personally i just love driving, and my d17 with its few mods make it plenty fast and worthy of the occasional illegally fast turn. It’s all how you view it, because i would rather take it slow and safe and be able to drive from MI to NYC on one tank of gas vs. having to stop and buy premium twice... Plus our trunks are huge and driving is also all about the music.
