I live here in Cali and Ive NEVER seen a person younger than 24 Driving a SRT-4..... So they cant be too young and spoiled since I think THEIR paying for it. And who needs a huge trunk to have sounds? My car hardly has a trunk....

We had our S2000 meet in wisconsin yesterday, and 2 douche bags in an SRT4 came into the lot while we had all 47+ cars lined up for photos.

The dude actually drove in front of the line of cars, and kept revving his engine, and showing off his blow off valve.

That's another reason I don't like SRT4's, and even more so, why I don't like most of the fools that drive them.

Even better, this tool kept revving in front of one of our s2000's when the guy was standing by his car. If the guy had raced him, the SRT4 would have gotten owned. That particular S2000 is pushing over 400whp.

There are just as many dumb srt-4 drivers as civic drivers.. (although you could say more Civic drivers, because there are more of them overall).

I am just biased because all the SRT-4 owners I know, are great. Its the ones I don't know.. that are jerks!


But wouldn't you say the same thing? You guys wouldn't act like the SRT-4 owners you mention do.. but I'm willing it bet, there are more civic drivers out there that would.. to make up for it.

i totally agree. nobody here should pretend "their **** dont stink', thats rubbish. its the owner that instigates the confrontation, not the shitfactory dodge neon.

the car didnt decide: " hey, im going to tell my driver to tell the other driver to **** off!" take the same driver and put him in any faster car and the outcome wont differ much.

ive seen just as bad behavior coming from ricers in their bolt-on imports. i can actually say ive had more bad experiences with imports than domestics. this is probably just due to the fact that more people (at least, around here mind you) seem to be more into the japanese/european cars than domesticated. but none the less, be smart. its not the cars fault. sure it sucks, i think there have been enough s2k man inspired anti srt4 threads on here to prove that. but the driver is responsible for his own actions. the car doesent talk.

thats your 'reason' ? because they like to show off their investments? i dont care if its an srt4 or not.lets just pretend we're talking about an unnamed car. the point is, people are proud of their investments wether your opinionated reasons think 'the car' sucks or not. ive seen a dozen of every car doing the same thing. some people call it 'being an *******,hot *******, , showing off' its the same principle. so wether it be a crap factory dodge neon or an acura NSX for all i care, being stupid falls into every car category and its been proven.

I would NEVER go into a huge crowd of SRT4's and sit there and rev my engine for 5 minutes for ANY reason. lol. that would be just plain stupid. and then I would deserve a sign that says RICER on the front.

well yea, its being a moronic idiot among other things. like i said, it goes by many names. but its showing off and being a basic dumbass. he was definately trying to start ****, and shouldnt have even been in his turbo'ed neon. he obviously doesen't know what he's up against in a row of 1.5 million or whatever dollars worth of s2k's. ii wish i was there though, i would have laughed my god damn *** off. for the guy to actually chill around there, that would be kinda suicidal. flying objects would soon follow.

damn, idk about that one mischieflts, from my understanding of s2kmans story, the neon doesnt sound like he or she was showing off. it sounded more like the neon driver was trying to ruin a meeting and photoshoot. regardless of which car he or she was driving, but thats completely uncalled for IMO. drivers like that whether hes in a ferrari, lambo, 9 sec stang, etc, does not matter. its completely rude and uncessary.


what it seems like to me is that the cool srt4 drivers are the ones who know their ****. those who buy the srt4 and dont exactly what they are buying are the bad ones that give out bad rep. if it matters, so far, ive seen plently srt4s on the road and nothing, but there was a few after some local meets where there was a yellow srt4 revving down the parking lot as he was strolling thru and would bust a circle and nearly redline it "showing off".

Is it fun for you guys to make fun of a car that is a better bang for the buck?
They bought a car to go fast, and they got one. No high performance car is reliable.. Exception to the rule would be Corvettes and S2k which are rated top in consumer reports for thier classes.
Most civic owners buy a car to go from point a to point b with reliability. The others just like to mod the hell out of it like the Scion Xa and Xb.
You want a fast Jap car to smoke those srt-4s for the same cost. Get a 240sx and go crazy on it. 240sx 98's are awesome!

As for s2000man, I dont blame you for hating them. I hate mustang Gt owners and cobras with the same passion lol

Also The SS chasis is differnt than the other models. Its based off the Opel speedster

I know Corvettes use leaf springs, but at least they have an independant rear suspension thats evolved over the years (Early Corvettes had a Bumpsteer issue with the rear end). Tortion beam suspensions were a product of the 70's, Primitive at best. The only reason its still around is because its cheap to build. its quite possibly one of the worst suspension designs around today. So what that the chassis is based on the Speedster, the suspension design is still crap. (Note that the Speedster has double wishbone suspension Front and rear)

that goes for any car mind you. the only 'cool' import tuners are the ones who actually put thought and time into their cars. generally speaking, educated people are easier to get along with.

well yes, we can apply this to every tuner. I agree the srt4 owners are cocky and usually teens that think they are so cool, but look at all those ricers in civics weaving through traffic and giving the finger when you race and beat em. There's always gonna be that type of driver, doesn't matter what car they're in.

Anyway....I had a guy at a gas station tell me that his neon(94-95) could beat my civic strictly because the srt-4's are faster. I just kept pumping my gas while choking on my bagel that I was trying to eat until I started laughing at him.
