DEAD even with a 6th gen 4cyl Accord
Well, I happened to pull next to a light with an '01 or '02 Accord EX 4 cyl coupe. I can tell because my wife owned a 2001 Accord EX 4cyl coupe, and it looked the same except for the color. Anywho, they had been driving pretty fast, passing me, and then getting passed by me prior to stopping at the light, so as soon as the light changed, and we were both first, I knew it was on. As the light went green, we both took off at about the same time, and in fact, stayed dead even, I mean literally about an inch was the difference between our front bumpers, until about 70 when we had to slow for the next light, where we were first again. Well, I knew it would be on again, so this time I brake torqued (what torque??
)and get a better start, but the result was the same. I know this had to be an AT car, because a 5 spd 4 cyl would kill me, and plus those can almost keep up with 6th gen V6 Accords. So, the reason I was happy is when my wife had her '01 Accord, same car as this, and I had my '01 Civic, same car as I have now but an '01, she would always pull on me, but not this time. So either the '03s are marginally faster than the '01s, which I doubt, or my '03 with the Si wheels is faster than my '01 with the heavy *** 17" Enkeis I had. I guess this is proof that lighter wheels CAN make a small difference in the 1/4. Also it goes to prove that more hp doesn't always mean a faster car, due to more weight. BTW, my car is bone stock, and an AT.

This seems to be the case, 6th gen 4 cyl Accord = 7th gen Civic, if trannies are equal, AT vs AT, 5spd vs 5spd. Makes me feel better to know that I can keep up with some cars with more hp and tq than me, which pretty much every other car seems to be in that category.
