Killed a white 5th gen hatch in a corner...

Going from 290 onto 140 in Shrewsbury, MA.

He came up behind me and I could tell that he wanted a piece of me. I don't know how I knew, but I knew. I'm like, "You want some of this?". When he moved into the right lane along with me and flipped his directional I knew it was on. I floored it going into the turn, and pretty much slowly pulled away from him throughout the whole turn.

The exit had three turns to it. The first right-hand turn you can take at like 60 - 70 - 80 mph. I don't know the limits of this one yet, 'cause I haven't really gone that fast through this turn. I took it today at about 70mph. The tires didn't screech, but I that's okay 'cause I had to brake for the next left-hand turn. It's a sweeping turn that's sharper than the previous one.

I took this one rather moderately, but at the exit I floored it 'cause the next turn is the funnest. It's a right-hander that's about a 90 degree with a somewhat profiled surface. I took it at about 55 - 60 mph. Basically as fast as I've ever taken it. I totally lost him. As I turned into my street I saw a hand go out the window and a finger go up.

Now, I don't know which finger this was? It was either the thumbs up, or the birdie. I don't know for sure. This just verifies that he was into it though. Hehe...

I don't know what modifications he had? Very little body lean though and it looked like he was lowered. Some kind of wheels too. Maybe 16's? ???

Anyway, that was sweet...

Yeah, I'm telling you guys... I was like, "Please please please let this guy want to follow keep up with me throughout this corner.". When it was all over (within like 30 seconds) I was like, "Hell yeah! That was awesome!".

You can check out my Profile for full details on my modifications, but basically I have...

- Progress sway bars (front and rear).
- Progress mounting kit for the rear (includes endlinks)
- Custom endlinks up front (experimental, but fully functional).
- Front and rear Spoon Sports strut bars with upgraded hardware.
- 17" Rota Attacks (3 lbs more per corner than stock with tires).
- Kumho Ecsta Supra 712's 215/45-17

That's pretty much it. I didn't totally win because of my modifications though. They helped, but there's still some things that I need to make better. I need to further develop my endlinks and I need to install a set in the rear. I need better tires, these Kumho's are rocks. I need a camber kit for the rear (looking at Hotchkis). I need to finish my custom rear lower control arms (these will widen the wheel base). I need the Type R front lower control arms (forged aluminum). I also need the Energy Suspension polyurethane lower control arm bushings. Oh yeah, I need the Neuspeed cross brace or something equivalent. I need to develop a custom floor bar (I'll probably market these in the future). I need to make a custom engine damper. I also need an LSD. Then a better clutch too. After I get all of that I will be king of the hill when it comes to corners.

Anyway, I won because I knew that set of turns like the back of my hand. Plus I'm crazy. I pushed it. Especially the last turn. I was sliding from entry to exit. Just the right amount of sliding though.
