Well I was out lastnight coming back from my wifes parents house last night. I was sitting at this light on a straight 4 lane highway, when this Daytona pulls up next to me. The window roles down and the guy is hispanic and starts yelling at me in English and Spanish. We was yellin at me to race. I was like what the hell what does this beat up piece of crap have. It looked like crap one headlight was out, it looked to have 5 different colors, and it sounded like he had a fart can. That is what made me laugh. I meen aren't those suppose to be american muscle? Why does he have that on his car. Well we launch and I am ahead of him by half a car and we hit 60, speed limit was 45, so I am about to shut it down when I see to sets of cops lights in my mirror.

We both pulled over. The cop that came up to my car was the cop that helped me out when the *** kid busted out my window. He goes "man I wish it wasn't you, I might have to arrest you, you know that right." So he walks back to his car with my license to get everything ready. Well he comes back and has me get out of my car. I am sitting on the side of the road with hand cuffs on. Well about 5 minutes later the cop comes back really fast and takes my cuffs off. He said "get out of here the guy you just raced is an illegall alien." I was out of there in a flash. Man did I catch a break.

So why did that matter?

If you were only doing 60 in a 45 why would they have to arrest you?

street racing in the county I live in is a class B mistemeanor or however you spell it. And that is an arresting offense.

Ah....Ok....I wonder if the daytona was a turbo...My ex had one and boy could that car move...that is when it was running...What a POS

Yea Daytona is an example of a domestic POS! My friend has one, the best thing that happened has when he were dirving down the freeway, and the WHOLE sunroof (glass and all) just riped off! Indeed a POS!

i think there are new laws now regarding street racing...you can get arrested, and your car will be confiscated...not impounded, but taken away permanently. Careful when you race out there...not only will you be arrested, you're car will go bye bye too. I dunno if that law passed or not, but the channel 7 news said that there is a VERY HIGH chance that law WILL pass due to to increase in death rates from illegal street racing.
