How long did the race last? From the line, I'm thinkin the Nav could beat it by sheer torque.

just because someone is rolling back and forth doesnt mean that the person wants to race. its hard to even imagine a stock navigator "totally destroying" a stock si...but its the street and anything can happen on the street. just like the astrovan that beat the viper :O

Ok...we will play numbers here.

Civic SI(5 spd) = 2651lbs / 160hp = 16.56 lbs per hp
Navi 2WD(auto) = 5760lbs / 300hp = 19.2 lbs per hp
Navi 4WD(auto) = 5994lbs / 300hp = 20 lbs per hp

Add the fact that the navigator is low geared. I just don't see how this is possible. Either:

1. It was not an SI
2. He wasn't racing you.
3. He started in 4th gear lease:
4. He didn't know how to drive.

The most probable, since you insist he was racing you, is that it was not an SI. Given it was not an Si, but a fake, then number 4 would probably be the reason as well . But who am I to judge? I wasn't there.

You can't argue with classical physics. Maybe if both cars were thrown into the ocean...the navigator would beat the civic to the bottom....

I highly doubt the Si was racing. I mean seriously ... if you were in an Si ... and some guy in a huge suv wanted to race, I'd be like ... "uh, yeah ok ... is he joking?"
