I wonder if Progress has fixed the problem with their internal components that was creating this LONG backorder.

That was not why we waited so long. 2 things contributed:

1. Progress lost their shock body maker so everything was done in-house piece by piece. Its great for quality but time suffers.
2. Progress is OEM for TRD parts. Toyota/TRD put in a huge order on suspension for I believe Scions and guess who they paid attention to first

I posted my experience with them earlier in the thread, I'm not sure if you got a chance to look at it. At first, the issue I had was with the coilovers themselves, but then when I tried to get help from Progress, it was useless. So the real problem was the company. I spent a lot of time installing them on my car (I did it on a lift in a garage), and then I had to take them to a shop and pay to have my stock suspension put back on (I didn't have time to do it myself or access to the garage again, and it was in January so it was cold out).

I sent pictures to Progress, talked to them on the phone, did eveything they asked me to do, and then they just told me to send them back. Then after all that, they didn't want to give me a full refund. I was told they were going to dyno the shock and they would get back to me. I called them after a while to find out the status, and it hadn't been done yet. Finally they got around to it and told me the shocks were fine. I asked them if they took the numerous other components on a coilover into consideration when checking their products for problems, and they said "no". I finally disputed the charges on my credit card and my credit card company had to give me the credit back. This was about 1.5-2 months after I sent the coilovers to Progress (yes, it took that long).

Essentially, as I said earlier, the problem was mostly with Progress as a company. Although I thought the coilovers were not of good quality as they rusted VERY quickly (I only had them on my car for a few weeks) among the other issues I won't go into now. They had bad customer service and they handled my situation in a poor manner. Like I told EM, good luck with yours and I hope that everything goes great and you love them as much as you should!

Well I did not get to finish my install today. Spent most of the day looking for a nut to bolt my top hat to the strut. I was really disappointed that Progress did not include a nut to bolt the top hat to the strut, (but did come with a nut for the rear) stock nut did not fit. In the instructions it shows that I need 4 aluminum coil adapters (2 for front 2 for rear) but I only recieved 2. Who do I talk to so I can deal with this? After waiting 4 months for these to come in I was hopeing the install would go smoothly. I am also disappointed because it does not go low enough for my liking. Performance wise I do not know yet since I have to wait until tomorrow to get the nut. Will have pictures tomorrow.

This is how it sits JUST to get around to the hardware store tomorrow, the lug nuts fit perfectly.

Ed, in all honesty, do you have problems with Progress parts? There is someone on another forum that has been having issues with Progress and these things seem to be more and more common. I thought my incident was isolated as far as the issues I had and the service I received, but it seems that it's not the case.

I understand if you can't say anything in the thread, I just wondered as a vendor, if you had any issues with their products or them as a company.

As of right now, I dont even want to deal with it anymore. After waiting 4 months this was not what I was expecting. To name a few; parts where missing, did not go nearly as low as advertised, the rear shocks where LONGER than STOCK. I am not saying the quality or performance of the coilovers are bad. They are smooth coilovers and ride REALLY nice, but for how I wanted to ride progress does not cut it (I like the slammed look with a OK ride). I just want a full refund with progress and go with a different setup. Although im trying to get it all striaghtened out I dont think that is going to happen. In the end I think I'm just going to loose out on alot; time & money. At this moment my feedback with Progress coilovers is

Here is a picture of how the car sits lowered all the way with 17s (white coupe).

Are you dealing with Progress directly to help handle your issues, and if so, what are they doing to help and/or get things to your liking?

I'm sorry that you have to deal with this and I can certainly understand what you are going through. Thats why I keep bumping this thread (and will continue to do so until it gets resolved), because it's important to let folks know the situation, and hold people accountable for their products.

Ed, I have a couple questions:

What is progress saying they are going to do about the coilovers not going as low as advertised?

If they can't come up with a solution, is Progress (or you) going to give him a full refund if that is what Slow wants to do?

I completely understand!

I was actually just trying to find out if you and/or Progress is willing to work with Slow as far as getting his money back to him if he remained unhappy after the solutions to his problems were given. In my personal opinion, it would seem extremely hard to correct a problem like not going as low as advertised, by sending pictures and talking on the phone.

I'm certainly not trying to be confrontational, as I have done business with you before and you are certainly a stand up individual (as you can see my only Trader rating is from you). I believe you run your business in a professional manner in an industry full of people and companies that all too often don't respect or sympathize with their customers. I do feel though that in these situations, it is usually the customer that ends up taking the loss, which is unacceptable. As a member here, I try to look out for someone going through an almost indentical situation that I went through, and lend any advice I can, because I have been there and I wish someone else had helped me out even just a little when I went through it.

So, I guess a better question would be, if the problems and issues Slow is having are not solved to his liking, what is the next step to make sure he is happy?

The pictures I sent you Truehonda are 2 different cars to show Stock height (silver) and the lowest setting of Progress Coilovers (white). Sorry I didn't clearify that when I sent the pictures.

Bump for an answer...

It's been 5 days since the pics were sent over. Is there an update Slow? Did Truehona and Progress fix the problem?

Ed, did you see the question I posted above?
