MK3 Supra project car

Hey guys... I have been looking for a project car. So a friend of the family and my dad found a 1988 Toyota Supra Turbo.... body is in good condition, but it needs an engine or a rebuild. The seller even included a new/rebuilt factory turbo for it. I only paid $600 for it, but its gonna take a lot of work.

I want to leave the Civic alone for a while to keep it reliable.

What do you think about the Supra project car?

Its an auto... but... it has the targa tops if that counts for anything.

It looks like I am leaning towards a used engine. I found a place that has the JDM 7MGTE for about $700. Its 230hp stock. Or I can find a 1JZ-GTE 2.5 liter twin turbo Supra R motor for about $1400. Its 280 hp stock with much more potential.

decisions, decision...

I am still debating on this one... there's a couple of guys wanting to buy the car... so I may pass it on for now. It probably not my time for the project car yet...

Might as well pass unless its an awesome deal. Wait for a manual car in similar shape or better. Ive thought about gettign one as a project car, or a 240Sx or late 80's/early '90's RX-7
