I just got emailed from my cousin with pictures of his ORIGINAL ford GT40. He just got done restoring it. He didnt restore it completely original, because he did use a more powerful engine. Anyways, here is his $250,000 investment in its complete phase.

yes, thats a new vette sitting next to it. My cousin figured out that the speed limiter in the vette applies to top gear only, he passed the limiter by passing through redline in 5th gear.

(he is a little crazy)
