Clearing out Headlights

Are there any easy ways to clear out headlights? That orange piece is ugly as sin and I've already tried to remove it once. That putty stuff and a bitch to remove! Someone please ease the pain with some tips or tricks!

Peace

Search and read the DIY in the DIY section. You should be able to find every trick and tip there is.

I tried to clear them wih this web site's DIY section. I still can't get the putty to come off. Nothing works. I'm asking for any easy tips that anybody else has.

You have to pull them apart. It's not going to "come off" You have to scrape some of it out with a screw driver or Xacto and pull the 2 halves apart. Some people put them in the oven, but that always sounded risky to me.

I tried a screwdriver and a box cutter blade and it didn't work really. I even pulled those black tabs up and cut the glue. I'm just afraid that I'll brake or crack them.

try wedging it open with a flathead srewdriver. That's how i got mine open with. I started by slowly wedging it open enough so that i could fit my fingers in then i could pull the headlight apart. It's probably best to start at the narrow end of the headlight. Once i got a good grip, it slowly came apart.
