I would also like to know about something but there are no places around here. I was wondering what you usually put in a resume to send to a company, what you usually have to have to get accepted and who you would send it to. Thanks

RedDragon333 will become famous soon enough
I was able to get a sponsership through my delaership. As far as i know its the only one here in Town. Everything i have done to my car so far, still under the three year warranty and im about to get that extended.I had to talk to tons of people and the rule goes as long as i do the installs at the dealership (which is cool cuz if i need any help i got techs there on call)i keep all warranties except for the parts i remove. For instance i removed my OEM muffler and catback system with the Tanabe RSpec so i no longer have a muffler warranty but i do have a warranty on the labor and everything else. If i wanted to install N02 and i blow my engine i still have all engine warranty no questions asked. Some dealerships frown upon the import scene this one however encourages it. They even sell some parts there. So i put them to the test and i asked them if i could get a sponsership from them and it went through the proper channels and next thing i know im sponsored. As far as other companties go you sent a propsal telling them what they can expect from you and some companies will pay for half or most of the parts you order of theirs and you need to committ to a certian number of shows and some places require stickers. They arent easy to get and you really have to be persistant to get anywhere.Good luck

show companies that you are dedicated t the show scene and that you basically have a car ready to go, minus one product or two, the one that they can provide! they might consider signing you on...

you arent gonna take a stock car to a company never having been to a show before and get anyhting in return but a polite handshake at teh most and a boot out the door...

Sponsorships... a big thing, and too much time consuming sometimes for the effort. I had one through Jesse James Wheels, when they made me some black anodized rims (the only set o them at that time). I had to agree to go to 4 shows that year, and keep their decal on the car for 1 year. I did that, at much cost to me. The problem is, I still only got a 40% discount off MSRP. Lots of companies are like this, they'll give you a percentage discount. The problem with our cars, though, is that there are tons of modified civics out there. It's the largest class at shows, and has been for a long time. The reason is because it's a cheaply modified car, and can be afforded by the masses, so there are tons of them roaming the streets. You're going to have to really do something that stands out before they'll look at you, because there are so many out there with generic mods, rims, kit, drop, etc.

If you want a sponsorship I think you have to have common sense.. like Popcorn said^

1) civics are very common.. rarely will you find honda civics sponsored anymore really.. compared to like 350s, STis, EVOs, all those street candies.

2) It'd be a good idea to put your car into shows of some sort to show companies that you will actually be seen so that you have a target audience. Otherwise, your car is just like any other civic driving around. They might even call you 'rice'

3)My friend is sponsored by TurboXS and is given guidelines for the turbo components he has.. (i.e you break it you bought it, appointments) make sure you know what you're getting into..

Thats all I know.. if you're doing it just for a roll call kit lol..
decalfx

anyways.. just tryna help out.. i know im a new member.. dont flame
