YES!!! Finally installed sidemarkers!

Hi All, just wanted to share my joy with everyone. I finally got the guts to install my sidemarkers this week and man do they look good I installed clear JDM-style sidemarkers on my ride to line up with my body side-moldings (haven't seen anyone put them there on our 7thgens, but I got the idea from a 6thgen I saw before) and they sure look great in that spot. This was the one DIY that I was so scared to do, but after getting quoted $200 for a body shop to do, I figured what the heck I'll give it a try. It took me a total of 2 days to complete (day 1 = drilling/cutting/dremeling/sanding/priming holes and snapping sidemarkers in w/ some silicone around edges, day 2 = waiting for silicone to dry and cutting excess, then wiring). Well, let me know what you guys think, oh yeah here's the pics...

Thanks for all your replies everyone. This was indeed a daunting DIY (for me anyways, but not impossible). If I were an expert at it (or DIY'ng in general) I'd install them for others, but right now I'm only comfortable screwing my car up rather than anyone elses. Seriously though, it is something everyone can do, the hardest part was drilling the hole (or holes in my case, 6 on each side) after that the rest is either cake or just time consuming. For anyone thinking of doing it, I'm sure you can since I'm probably the worst DIY'er ever, but I was able to since I did other smaller DIY's mentioned on this site before this. This is probably last major DIY I do to my car for a long time. Again, thanks for all the replies

I know, I was going to put it high like how OEM JDM/UK and '02 SI Civics have them, but to me it looked kinda funny there since I have body side-molding. Then I saw a 6thgen with side-molding too, except on the 6thgen it has a small piece between the front door and fender well that they replaced with a similarly sized sidemarker. I thought that really looked good and flowed well. Plus a lot of BMW's and Jagaurs have their sidemarkers lined up close to their body side-moldings too. Overall, I'm glad I located it there, goes with the lines of my car much better. If I didn't have body side-molding's I probably would have located higher up like OEM though.

Wow.. those are super bright. No question on which way you're goin.

On a car w/o side molding, I would've gone a lot higher, that's what I like. But I think you made a very good decision on your placement. Good work!
