Some progress...
A few days ago my TYC projectors, CF hood, and Tsunami front finally arrived. I was all happy until I inspected the hood. It had about a 3 inch long scratch type thing in the clearcoat. God darn it. So i gave a call to the store that I bought the stuff from (Aerotrends.com) and he told me to get a picture of it. With numerous attempts I finally got one that showed the scratch.
I sent him the picture and he said "how much would it take for you to keep the hood" At first I was like no, I want a new hood. But then he offered me $100 to keep it. I thought about it and told him to throw in the mesh grill for my new bumper and he had himself a deal. He agreed and now I have something else im excited to get in the mail.
I just hope that the scratch wont bother me too much once its finally installed on my car. It isnt noticeable unless you sit there and stare at the spot. Do you think i made the right decision?
btw, my car will be back in less than 2 weeks. I'll be sure to bombard you with an array of new pictures.

I think you made the right decision man. Is the scratch too deep, or do you think that you can buff it out, even if you go somewhere to get it done with a high speed buffer/polisher? If you think you can, at least give it a try, otherwise, try to live with it, you made the decision.

i think it was a smart decision. Down the road, who knows you may even paint the hood, which would eliminate the issue all together
Yeah, I may decide to eventually paint it anyway.
The scratch isnt very deep at all, just in the clearcoat. It looks like maybe something was dragged across it or something, it isnt anything major.
Plus its up towards the top / middle of the hood. I just wont look there :-p

I wouldn't have taken that deal. I'm rediculous about my car. If something is not perfect, I will work/raise hell until it is. But if you're happy with what you're getting, then you definately made the right decision.

You made out like a bandit bro!
If you really cant see the scratch unless you stare at the hood, then no big deal!
Hell, a rock can do that while going down the road! And you got the grill to boot!
Nice job on all your parts man! Cant wait to see em!
