Arg! Someone threw a rock at my car!

While I was driving today I heard a huge "clunk" and I was thinking "man.. did I step over a rock?" and then I saw these two kids come out on my rear view mirror. Didn't think anything of it, but when I got home, I checked. I got a tiny dent on the side of my car. Well, I wouldn't even call it a dent.. just a tiny scratch, but it's bugging the crap out of me. First damage.

So...

Do those touch up paints actually work?

Happened to me before, too; once with an acorn (no damage) and once w/ a rock on the windshield (no damage). As far as touchup paint working, it is great! However, you have to use it extremely sparingly and shouldn't even apply it w/ a brush. Try applying it little by little in the shade on a fairly warm day with a toothpick. This month's issue of Honda Tuning (the one with the yellow car on the front- it might have been last months though) has a nice article on car maintainence and has a little segment on scratches and touchup paint. Good luck and sorry something happened to your car.

The touch up paints work pretty well. Just be really carefull. Let it dry all the way. and put a good coat of wax on your car afterwards. If your really paranoid about your paint..you can buyThese It;s a magnetic armor that you apply to your car when offroading(or in your case cruising through child rock throwing areas) I'm sure you could find some company to make them for civics.

Friday night some kids threw some snowballs at my car. Well, I slammed on the brakes, parked the car in the middle of the street (It was snowing really bad, no one was on the street) and started to chase the kids. Well they ran into the house, so I knocked on the door. Their mom answered the door and I told her what happened, and the bitch couldnt say anything else other than "please dont call the cops" I was like, I'm not gonna call the cops lady, you're just lucky I didn't beat the **** outta them, she was like "that wouldn't have been good" LOL, stupid people. They didn't dent my car or anything, just pissed me off, damn kids

Similar thing happened to me last summer in Brooklyn.
Cousins and I went bowling in the Bronx, and I left my car paralleled at my cousins place (Brooklyn area).
When I went back around 3am, saw a KEY scratch with the scratching saying "I HATE YOU."
My ex girlfriend lived in that area, so msut've been her.
Never really found out, but I got the scratches gone.
As fro you, stay away from kids!
