yes, its okay if the dealership or maker put it on. but if you went yourself and got it done, its illegal.

Better yet, why don't we write to ask why these laws only apply to average citizens. It seems like cops get off all the time. Just show your badge and you are off the hook. I wouldn't have a problem getting a ticket if I knew that it was a fair system. Yet it is very rare for a cop to get a ticket.

i have been thinking about getting tint pretty soon and have a few questions. how is it that a cop actually tests to see if your tint is illegal, and is it very accurate? adn do most of you guys get tint all around, or just on the sides and back? anyone know if it is legal to have tint in the front in ohio?
boys and girls ... I would love to introduce my little friend the fire sticker.... I know it sounds corny... but police and firefighters have a brother hood. and if you know either of these ... you can get away with alot .... so DONATE I say... to the local highway patrol, metro police or fire house and insure that you get one of these valuable stickers... i cant count the times I have been passed over for that other guy, knowing full good and well that I deserved that ticket! in Mass the tint law is 35% all the way around.... my friend has 20% but a police sticker on his car, so he doesn't get hassled about his, and my other friend had 5% all the way around and the cop made him peel it off b4 he could drive away.... too bad the only thing he had to peel it off with was a small swiss army knife and his fingernails... lol .. i have 35% now, but i want it darker.. i think i'm getting it redone and doing 20% all the way around.
yea, we can't have red/blue facing front... and i think neons are prohibited.. but i was driving around with a red neon lit inside and they didnt mind to care.. it might just be on the outside of the car in Mass.

yeah almost every other state prohibits colored aftermarket lights on cars, especially red and blue.
