Hey guys! I just purchased a used 2003 Civic lx sedan with a D17A1 with about 182,000 miles on it. I was wondering what some of you guys think I can do to increase the longevity on the motor. Regular oil changes are of course important, But what are some opinions on synthetic vs conventional. What’s some of your goto brands? I was thinking Penzoil platinum high mileage full synthetic. I have always used shell rotella but thinking about making a switch. Just wanted some popular opinions. Feel free to make any suggestions you guys think will benefit my high mileage Civic. Thanks guys!

Welcome to the forum!
Any good quality oil will work, I run synthetic in mine. Pennzoil, Quaker State, Castrol, whatever is on sale
