http://www.mobiloil.com/USA-English/...rformance.aspx
im gonna be switching over from super syn mobil 1 5w-30 to mobil 1 5w-30 EXTENDED PERFORMANCE. i been searching on google.com to see what others had to hear but its not mentioned much but only comparsions to AMSOL* or so. but that was their ordinary supersyn mobil 1 and not the EP one.
anyone have exp or just solid info based on this mobil 1 extended performance motor oil?

Rep Power: 309 not that im gonna go 15k miles, i always change every 5k or 6 months, whichever comes first regardless.
im trying to discover if it really has better/more addictives than the previous original mobil 1 motor oil.

I've had the new mobil 1 syn extended oil in my car for 5k miles or so. So far it's been just like running regular mobil1. However, I will be replacing my oil filters like I normally would be if I were changing out my regular Mobil 1 full syn just in case, although Mobil says this is unnecessary.
By the time I change the oil again, hopefully Mobil will have a 5w20 as well as 5w30 version of the new anti-wear formula.
If you enjoy esoteric discussions about oil, see this thread.

Rep Power: 399 5000 and 7500 are not synthetic (they're blended, 7500 more so than the 5K, but not enough to really call it synthetic), so if you've got M1 already, its the EP or stick to M1. Honestly, Mobil one is capable of going that long as it is if you want it to, so I'm not sure what their improvement is. Must have some new cleaners or something in it. If you're not going to run it for 15K (or even try) then I'd save the $.70 a quart and keep dumping plain old M1 in the car.

Rep Power: 0 Mobil 1 7500 is synthetic that I use. It says synthetic at least. How is it blended? Its for 7500 miles and synthetic. Ive read the bottle a bunch of times. But people do lie.

Here's the Product Data Sheet for Mobil Clean 7500.
BTW, you're not using Mobil 1, which is a full synthetic. You're using Mobil Clean 7500, which is sort of like using half Mobil 1 and half regular Mobil oil--so you get some of the benefits of synthetic oil without having to pay as much as you would for all-synthetic. Like the oil warranty says, under normal driving conditions, this oil should last you 7500 miles, but if you drive under harsh conditions, follow the oil change interval in the Honda owner's manual.

Rep Power: 0 I am NOT using Mobil Clean. On the bottle it says "Mobil 1 7500" extended performance or some **** like that. It IS Mobil 1. I doubt there are different oils in different states, but it could be possible. I use mobil 1 10w30 7500. On the bottle it says, good for up to 7500 miles.

Rep Power: 309 Mobil Clean 7500, a new synthetic blend motor oil, provides outstanding protection for today’s longer service intervals — with 18 percent more cleaning agents than even Mobil Clean 5000 to protect critical engine parts for up to 7,500 miles under typical driving conditions.
i never seen or heard of "mobil 1 extended performance 7500
if you have the mobil 1 extended performance, its a fully syn oil. but the "m1 clean" line up are just blends

Rep Power: 375 what's interesting is that many dino oils nowadays actually "qualify" as synthetics. so really, to say oil is or isn't synthetic nowadays means nothing.

Re: Mobil 1 extended performance
I use mobile 1 advanced fuel economy with a 20k mile filter and I change mine every 10k just to be safe. I did this to my Tacoma which has 92k miles and I have never had a problem yet and she purrs like a kitten!
