I am building a very mild street version that I hope to spend weekends doing long distance trips. Part of my trying to get a little more horsepower involves bolt on items...header and full exhaust change, ram air intake, etc. Will I need to worry about the California laws (CARB)? Does anyone get stopped for violations or is that usually added on if stopped for speeding.
I plan on swapping original parts back for the every other year smog check.
Am I being paranoid...or do I need to be paranoid and leery of the CHP?
