Hello everyone, my name is Abood and I live in middle east
anyhow my story is my car's engine (D15Y2) one of the water pumps bolts got loose and cut the timing chain which resulted in bent valves, I fixed it with a new set of valves and I had to change the bolt hole and put a stud in there cuz it got WIDENED .... after 30K kilometer the engine went down again and my timing chain was shredded so I bought a D17A JDM
I'm running my stock LX ECU on D17A VTEC engine which produces 140 HP from factory
I paired the D17A engine with the D15Y2 transmission (manual transmission) and I'm waiting for the ECU and VTEC solenoid plug and oil pressure sensor plug to do the wiring and run VTEC
My future plans are headers (cuz mine have the cat and it's cracked already)and CATBACK exhaust , CAM stage 1, Intake manifold, CAI, port and polish, Suspension (lowering springs, new bushings, strut bar R and F), New wheels and tires, Short shifter
I'm not rich so be patient, and finding parts isn't easy over here, I'll try to update this post and keep you guys updated

I'm back with another update
I got my hands on EX/MT ECU, I want my engine bay to look clean so I bought VTEC Solenoid and VTEC oil pressure switch Plugs pigtails
I took my car to a wiring Guru and he had trouble wiring the Knock sensor cuz I didnt have the plug for it to extends wiring and pining it to the ECU

Apparently what you need to wire to make the knock sensor work is 3P connector Male:
1- A9 Knock sensor, 3- A8 and 2- A20 *go up their to check em out*
B15 for the VTEC solenoid and B9 VTEC oil pressure switch
and about the immobilizer I just pair the GULF immobilizer to USDM EX ECU and it worked but you cant use the old ECU no more
Verdict to convert from non-VTEC to VTEC you'll probably need :
ECU *VTEC*
Engine Harness or make your own *like what I did up their*
VTEC engine *Obviously*

It's been a year now...
I changed certain parts in the car
1-New filter from K&N company OEM style filter
2-New blacked out front grill
3-Used 15 inches wheel 4x114, using an adapter
4-Gutted my cat and still using D15's header/cat
Whats next??
A new header and new o2 sensor, new shocks and lowering springs, dirlin block for the powersteering rack, NEW PAINT
