Yes, all body parts were removed and painted separate except the rear bumper.

Looks good and I bet the pics don't do it justice. That ride needs to come down a few inches and it'll be really looking good.

Exactly right. I don't have a decent filter for my camera. Been spending time and money on this "Fun Car". No time, no money for camera stuff!

That blue pearl pops more and night than in the sunlight (believe it or not).

Less inches is in the works. Leaning towards Tein's.

Forgive me for asking what may seem like a dumb question but how did you open your headlights to paint the housing? I was under the impression they were sealed. Can you let me know how you did that please? (Car looks really really good by the way!)

I'm not entirely sure, because I haven't done it yet, but I think you heat the headlamps in an oven for a few minutes to melt the sealant. Then you use a flathead screwdriver to gently pop off the lens.

Np. Actually it was easy. Use a large flat screwdriver and some patience. When you put it back together, use a silicone sealant in the grooves. That will help.

Thanx amigo. In fact I'd really like to talk to you about your Tein's. The ones I'm looking at are $1500, but I think thats overkill.

$1500 is a bit much for daily driving suspension, so yeah, overkill.
I went with the Basis (not to be confused with Basic) which are right around $800. Great quality set of coils and they're holding up well. If you haven't already seen it, I did a brief review of them here: https://www.civicforums.com/forums/2...ml#post4602776
Any questions about 'em just shoot.

Some comparable coilovers in this price range would be the Skunk2 and Megan coilovers.

Re: Max91's 02 EX

With the magic of digital photography, I was playing with ride hight for the car. Im thinking 2" lower will work for me.

Full hight

Just for grins

Re: Max91's 02 EX

looks about right.
To be more accurate, the front should be a bit lower.
But that's depending on how easily you could rotate the car body in whatever editing program you used, lol

Re: Max91's 02 EX

^Ok. I think I got the front at 2.5" and the back at 2" or 1.75". That might be better.

Thanx.
I gotta admit the lower gears were sluggish (with the OEM system) and the high were ok, but not impressive. Now, 0-85 is a total blast!

1st gear: Jump
2nd gear: Move
3rd gear: Slide forward
4th gear: GO!
5th gear: WEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!

Re: Max91's 02 EX

Well darn...looks like my coilover system is gonna be delayed. The AC compressor decided to self destruct. It looks like it's going to cost around $700. So I decided to do the muffler as well as the AC.

Out with the old and in with the new!

Thanx Dell.

The header wrap keeps the heat down in the engine bay. Kinda works like a heat shield. So far it has made a huge difference.

I've seen it at Autozone. You'll be better off getting it a Performance store (the autozone brand might be cheap). My stock header required 15'. It took 36" for the first three and the rest for the last and collector.
