Update

So I was under my car fixing that weird noise, and noticed 2 of my sway bar bracket bolts were missing. One from each bracket. Now that I want to do some suspension mods, I took off the front sway bar and had to cut off the rusty old end links. Picked up some energy suspension 1" greasable bushings and some new end links.

The company sent me the right part numbers, but end links made by two different companies. Emailed them and they said they would send me a new set. Free shipping FTW!!!

I finished one of my rims. I think im gonna go with a higher metallic paint, this one seemed rather dull. Or maybe its because I didnt wet sand the paint coat. The original has the tire and the refinished rim has no tire.

I just have to finish clear coating it and wet sanding. I think im gonna apply a thick clear coat for some added protection from the elements. Ill post pics after I get it installed

Haha yeah I agree. Id rather have an all stock body with a killer k-swap. But the car came with the body kit so why not?

and Mindbomber - Ive noticed that. I take pictures with my iphone 4s and post them from photobucket right to here. pretty nice

Re: Slim's EM2 Build

More goodies in the mail! So my old em2 radiator was falling aparts, and since I needed a new radiator for my k-swap, why not start early? I wasnt going to wait a year or two for my k-swap to be finished, and I didnt want to buy a new em2 radiator, and then have to turn around and buy and RSX/EP3 one next year. so I had to find a radiator that worked with both engines.

Instead of going with a full size radiator, I decided to run a half size, dual core aluminum radiator. But what radiator will work with an EM2 and an RSX/EP3? I decided to purchase a Godspeed EG rad for $100 shipped on amazon, along with a universal slim fan. No one has ever documented this swap, and I believe it is worth trying. I'll do a write-up once I install it.

Problems with using this radiator:

Custom bottom and top mounting points
Custom coolant catch can
33 mm hose outlets (D series is 28mm, K & B series are 33mm)

Re: Slim's EM2 Build

I dunno if I'd trust a $100 half rad with my K-Swap, but for the d, it might be fun to test out and make fit.

But looks like you're doing pretty well fixing up the car to look better.
Any progress lately?

Re: Slim's EM2 Build

Wow, the previous owner sure did a number on this thing...
But it looks like you have the time and ambition to bring this back from the dead. As much as it pains me to say this, I think that body kit will actually look good when it's painted, especially the rear bumper.

Some things that really turn me off though.. the hood, the fish gills on the side, the diamond plated floors, and the cheapest, ugliest possible SRI and manifold.

That said, I have faith in this project. It can't get any worse, can it? Good luck

I have never seen an auto riced out to this extent.
