Also, the SI-R (the 7th gen hatchback, if you've ever seen one) has a K20A3 engine that produces 160hp. The K20A2 that you find in the RSX's produce 200hp.

and to my knowledge (which isn't much).. the mac daddy of all was the K20Z1? Something like the cams keep the valves open longer. Here's a noob question, is it possible to have a K24A2 with a K20Z1 head? or is that even stoopid to ask?

I would rate it as follows.
K20a>k20z1>k20a2>k24a2>k20z3>K24a1/a4/a8>k20a3
It gets really complicated if you look deeply into it though, because of slight changes made with changing generations, for example the 09+ k24a2s have lots of inferior American made parts and those I would rate very low. If you were building an engine and used an 09+ k24a2 crank, it would be much less reliable than if you had used a 06 k24a2 crank.

I was reading Wiki, which isn't the most accurate online source, and it stated out of all the K series motors the one ending in "Z1" had the most hp, something like 220bhp is that's true?

I thought it was 201, but im not an expert.
The Z1 is the best you can get in america i believe. The K20A (it's just that, no number on the end) is a JDM engine i believe. I heard it and the Z1 are quite similar, with minor differences.

I want to kno the best one. Say if I didn't want to build a motor up from scratch, what's THE best K series to get for a straight swap? All opinions welcome.

The BEST would be a k20a, but you pay a substantial premium since they're rare, supply and demand.
Excluding the k20a, the k24a2 and k20z1 are pretty comparable, the little differences mostly come down to personal preference. I would take the k20z1.

A little somethin for the tunes. Nevermind that Rane TTM-57SL mixer. That's just a little somethin for all those wack *** DJ's out there that wanna battle.
Unfortunately the 2nd JL amp will not arrive before Christmas but the stereo is going in tomorrow anyway. Minor hiccup.

Excited to see the retrofit. Also, did you purchase the complete retrofit kit, or just the projector kit?

Yea man ran into some problems with the retrofit like MindBomber said so it will be delayed a couple weeks since I'm off to Miami in a few days. The guy that did em put them in upside down (meaning the hi-low beam solenoid is on the bottom instead of up top). They didn't look real nice either minus the fact they were upside down I was not happy with the finished product.
I'll have to purchase new eBay BOH and this time I'm gonna attempt the retrofit myself. I've literally watched every Mini H1 DIY on the net and I'm pretty confident I can do this without question now. Plus no one I know will give it the attention to detail I demand and especially having to pay someone to do them and not do them flawless is
Oh and I got the complete kit. Morimoto Mini Stage III kit with E-55R shroud upgrade. Should get the glue for $10 extra, I regret not getting the glue.
It's too late to go to the stereo place to finish the rest of the install of the rears and amps today so I'll be there 1st thing in the morning. At least the tints turned out nice

Looks like 23 1/4" up front and just under 23" in the rear. Not sure what qualifies as "slammed" these days, don't wanna be a poser err nothin. I guess I'm pretty low since I'm tucking some tire, hopefully I won't have any issues on the 10 hour ride, there or back.
Stoked about these that arrived today.

i'm surprised that they sold you the brace at full retail, usually they drop it a bit. it'll look sick though, looking forward to seeing some shots from the rear.

So yea I think I have a little addiction goin here. Suspension. When I K swap I def plan the lug and brake swap also. But I really like name brands and a little bling that eventually will be visable through a nice set of low offset wheels. What you guys think?

EDIT: in the immediate future that dinky sway bar is being replaced by an ASR solid.
