Oh ok. This whole time i thought you already had an SI :P I knew people got them when they did the head swap, i was thinking that you got it to play with your vtec settings.

got the transmission and stage 1 clutch/ light weight flywheel installed today.. the car feels a lot quicker and a lot more fun to drive. can't wait to get an a2 head and stage 1 cam.

Sexy ride, Muirsy! I'm hoping mine looks somewhat like yours in the next year or so, but in black. Once I pick up an EM2, I'm thinking of slowly stocking up on parts while driving it stock through the winter... But that bumper* you have on the front, is that from the Reverb kit? I was looking for something very similar but where did you get it from... I never found any site for us Canadians, or is there a good importer or something you know of in the GTA?

^ im not going to cut the actual spring.. but the helper spring on top that doesnt do anything but keep pressure on the strut mount when you jack up the car.

skunk2 full coilovers heres a pic
at the top of the strut where the spring gets thinner.. thats a separate spring that I can fully compress with my hand. its just there to keep pressure on the strut bearing when the car is jacked up. Im either gunna take them off or cut them a bit

thats a dual spring rate set up. one spring does one specific thing, the other another specific thing:
one spring is for the the big absorption (like bigger bumpers on the road) and the other spring is made for the little minute absorption on the road...like small bumps and stuff. (even those the smaller spring may seem useless)
they work together in sync and if u take one or the other out, u will throw off the compression dynamics of the spring.
unlike single wound spring that are progressive or stagnant.

it cant be doing anything.. when the car is on the ground that spring is fully compressed. from my understanding from skunk2, tien, and tanabe's website that the spring is only there to reduce noise and keep the spring seated when the car is jacked up

yea i sometimes hear a pop when i lower it back down because i have the coils all the way down so the helper springs aren't long enough... i ended up cutting those springs in half today the wheel gap in the front and back are the same now.. been driving it around for a bit and car handles the same
