The new purchase.

I've had it for about a week now and it's my first civic. I'm ready to start doing things to it but I don't know where to start. Do you guys have any suggestions? For example the biggest bang for my buck right now, rims, clear lights etc. What will make the most cosmetic difference right away?

Re: The new purchase.

first off, welcome to the site. and as always use the search button first before u ask a question because most likely it has been asked. (just for future references)

with that said, what is ur budget and goals of the car?

if u have some $$$$ so shell out, i would do suspension first.

doing it right will cost you around 1000 dollars (coilovers, camber kit, alignment)

if u dont have that kinda money, i would buy some clear headlights (they are pretty neat and make ur car look clean) oem style. no gay-halo-ricer-blue-ring-of-homo.ness.

u have a clean civic. keep it that way.

Re: The new purchase.

My plans right now are just to keep it clean. Maybe lower it, get some decent rims and clear tails/heads and stop there.

Re: The new purchase.

Welcome to the site!

Here's a good list if you're on a tight budget (I'm a college kid.. trust me I know a tight budget)

#1) Grab a pair of OEM headlights and HID's to go with = 100$
#2) Get a set of nice wheels and tires = ~800$
#3) Replace factory speakers/head unit = 300$
#4) Suspension = 1000$
#5) Aftermarket front bumper...yep, just the bumper. = 150$

kudos to you for keeping it clean.

do suspension first. you can find some used one for about 500. tein, BC, progress...etc. they are rebuildable so u dont have to worry about being SOL when they blow.

dont just get HIDs in ur stock housing. thay are gay and cause glare.

do a retrofit (its only like 120 for the projector and 30$ for the HID kit) its a simple plug and play (literally) PM me for more details when ur ready.

heres an example:

search "morimito" on this forum and you'll get a DIY as well.

Re: The new purchase.

Congrats on the new car, it looks great! if i were you i would stay away from clear tails personally i do not like "euro" style ones. If your looking for a cheap mod to your headlights i would blackhouse them (i did mine for about 40 bucks and it made a world of difference in the look of my car). Then after you blackhouse them i would use the 3m headlight restoration kit. It worked like a charm on mine. Also window tint would make your car look very good too, maybe you could do a lip on the front bumper too.

but not im over them. halo belongs on bmws....not wanna be civics. *cough cough my wanna be z3 gills on my fender......rice*

@sdaidoji its so funny how everyone who DOES NOT have DRLs wants them, and people who are forced to have DRLs hate them.
